Friends, delegates and fellow Americans: I humbly and gratefully accept your nomination for the presidency of the United States.

Who would have believed that when we started this journey on June 16th of last year we – and I say “we” because we are a team – would have received almost 14 million votes, the most in the history of the Republican Party, and that the Republican Party would get 60 percent more votes than it received four years ago.

The Democrats, on the other hand, received almost 20 percent fewer votes than they got four years ago.

Dark must be the MSM meme. David Brooks of PBS called Trump’s speech dark and dystopian. I watched all of Trump’s speech. Can’t be that Brooks and I saw the same speech. Trump gave us the truth, and the plan to address each problem.

Personally, I want Trump to put back together the FBI Hostage Rescue Team, including Lon Horiuchi, that went after Randy Weaver, and send them to the Washington Post HQ.

I think you're going to find the DEMs will do a much better job with their convention and a profoundly better job with their "message" than the GOP fiasco over the past week. And if you think Donald's the greatest thing since sliced bread - just wait. You have only gotten hints of some of Donald's past baggage. When ALL of it comes it, and it will, there isn't going to be any doubt about whether he should be Pres or not. When the laser eye of the DEM party, the press, and all the people he's screwed over and cheated starts focusing on him, I think the American people will be genuinely shocked at what's he done over the years. In short, the "heat" hasn't even started warming yet under Donald's feet. You just wait and see

The MSM doesn't have the monopoly that it used to have, and it won't be much longer before it disappears. Already cable TV is on its way out. The media audience is getting more and more fragmented, which means more points of view.
