It would hurt all three, by showing disunity.
Even at that I admit Trump will win in a landslide.
What you don’t understand is that if Cruz doesn’t and instead shows disunity, many will not vote.
OK, sure Trump wins. but Reagan won with many Democrats and Independents also, but he never won the House. While he did win the Senate, he lost it 2 years later.
We want Trump to not just keep both houses, but we want him to get to 60 in the Senate so all Judge appointments are just rubber stamps. With maybe a super majority in both houses as the Democrats had from “09 -”11”. Then everything will be rubber stamped.
We don’t want to lose the Senate, and that is what could happen if Cruz send a message to his followers that he won’t support Trump.
‘What you dont understand is that if Cruz doesnt and instead shows disunity, many will not vote.’
Still an exaggerated view of Cruz’ impact. He is losing supporters, influence and credibility by the day. His post primary behavior has hurt him even among his loyal supporters.
Now the emphasis is shifting to the necessity of beating Hillary. If Cruz is unwilling to assist in that effort, it will harm Trump overall far less than you imagine.
“We dont want to lose the Senate, and that is what could happen if Cruz send a message to his followers that he wont support Trump.”
You credit Cruz with far more influence than he actually has. He’ll be lucky to keep his Senate seat after 2018.
