Mrs. Trump, Monday night:
From a young age, my parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life, that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise, that you treat people with respect. They taught and showed me values and morals in their daily lives. That is a lesson that I continue to pass along to our son. And we need to pass those lessons on to the many generations to follow. Because we want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.
Mrs. Obama, in her 2008 speech:
Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values: that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say youre going to do; that you treat people with dignity and respect, even if you dont know them, and even if you dont agree with them. And Barack and I set out to build lives guided by these values, and pass them on to the next generation. Because we want our children and all children in this nation to know that the only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.

My first thought, too.
Melania’s speech was great. Whether accident, coincidence or intentional, the paragraphs were extremely similar. As I said, that is sad because the media will focus only on that. Not the pride in America, her citizenship or American values. I wasn’t saying anything bad about Melania.
I’m sure Melania didn’t write it. I smell a Rat.
What-****ing-ever, New York Slimes.
Rest of speech is different. Professor can deduct 2 marks.
That was my first thought. MSNBC is doing a side by side video of the speeches.
I smell as rat.
All they need is to repeat a headline enough times until it becomes the "truth".
Here is a challenge for the MSM, find a first lady nominees convention speech for the major two parties that did not have a paragraph similar to that within it. That is boilerplate stuff right there
Sinister....like a rat?
Gee, wish they had gone gaga over some of the previous unconstitutional and felonious acts...
Barak wasn’t raised with any values. He mooched off grandma when mama dumped him...
CNN and some writer from the National Journal (was just on FNC) are gleefully pointing out how this proves that Trump is not AUTHENTIC. They're positively *giddy* over this, and how it will "overshadow" an otherwise successful night at the RNC.
The Left's talking points for Tuesday: Donald Trump is not authentic, and his wife plagarized Michelle Obama's 2008 speech.
*barf*
You are full of beans, this is not stolen text,I read both and watched both
Ideas are not proprietary
If you were right the 2nd thru the millionth
Who told Dick Clark, “ it has a good beat and it’s easy to dance to “ is equally guilty
This is yellow journalism
May not be the case that Melania had anything to do with it, actually. Assuming at least a couple of other people worked on the speech, one of them easily could have written a draft paragraph with the questionable words. Few people in politics write many of their own words, and Melania is not even a politician or used to giving speeches.
WHO IS PLAGIARIZING WHOM?

As I watched George visit with the graduates and their families, I thought, “This is America.” Down-to-earth people who work hard, who care about our neighbors, who want a better life for our children. And the people of America deserve a leader who lifts our sights, who inspires us to dream bigger and do more.
In the meantime — in the meantime, he’ll make a great president.

Thank you all. Thank you, and God bless you. God bless America. (APPLAUSE)
Thank you. Thanks, everybody.
MELANIA TRUMP ADDRESS TO RNC

Ladies and gentlemen, Donald J. Trump is ready to serve and lead this country as the next president of the United States. Thank you, God bless you, and God bless America.
Many of those lines are traditional platitudes, traditionally stated in the same order.
Unlike Mooch-hell Obung-hole, Melania Trump has beauty, class, and pride in the American experience going for her.
