In the end, Never Trump never stood a chance.
Despite plenty of positive media coverage and an active social media and email campaign, the effort to wrest the nomination from presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump in the 11th hour fizzled in a Cleveland conference room thanks to an alliance between the ultimate outsider candidate and insider party operatives.
The Trump campaign -- worried about efforts to unbind delegates -- tied itself to the Republican National Committee and their operations prepared to work together, sources involved told CNN.

I'm sort of confused ...I've been told over and over and over again on this website that Trump will destoy the RNC and it's RINO infested damp caves...
I'm not really confused, but vindicated that I was correct.
For months I have said that Trump will eventually work with the RNC and versa visa and not destroy them...
Yea, I'm taking a victory lap...after the abuse I took was taking for holding to that position..
One thing I find outlandish about this description of things, is that NeverTrump was inferred to be very effective, very crafty, had super abilities, and yet failed.
In the mix is one adversary, the Trump team. Is it credited with lofting a counter effort that defeated NeverTrump? No.
This last year, at every turn the media and those that became the NeverTrumpers trashed the Trump team as not having the ground game, the inside knowledge, or the intelligence to compete.
The RNC joined in that effort, lest we forget. Trump is still trashed by Ryan. Every few days he has some comment that insults the Trump team or Trump himself.
It is in this climate that answers need to be provided as to why the NeverTrumpers did not prevail.
Somehow, it had to be laid off on someone else. Blaming it on Trump would have given Trump’s team credit for being very effective at staving off a revolt. Couldn’t have that.
No, they actually laid it off in no small part on the RNC, a crafty three-fer if you’re keeping score.
1. It inferred unfairness on behalf of the RNC, NOT NEUTRALITY
2. It downplayed any credit to the Trump team for being very astute
3. It downplayed the inability of the NeverTrumpers to prevail due to a severely flawed idea
Those that support Trump know the RNC has not gone to bat for him. They know that the RNC today hates Trump as much as they always have. Note the numerous high level Republicans who won’t be attending the Convention, or endorsing Trump. They are a direct part of the GOPe or heavy influencers of it, and vise versa.
Trump’s team has at every turn been more astute and effective than his adversaries.
It’s about time folks understood that and gave him/them credit for it.
It bodes well for his terms in office. He and his team is very astute, very tuned in, and on our side.
To quote the GOPe, the RNC, and the NeverTrumpers, “Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...”

Imagine the laws, regulations and force needed to achieve you aims. Then imagine a future liberal power-hungry globallist ring of thieves in executive offices mounting that war-horse.
Conservatives must educate and persuade and demonstrate the positive power of freedom, and the mutual benefit of industriousness; reduce taxes, and end the dependence, among people with little, upon government largess.
You cannot foment rigid adherence to the golden rule by forcing it down throats. And honorable persons do not ‘ go after’ people unless those persons are seeking to murder, thieve, and enslave. No quarter for pirates; and persuasion tending toward self-interest for the usefull idiots. Otherwise, our experiment is at its predicted end....and will not again come to fruition for another millennium. ...if ever.
That is, let us not become what we loathe....and do pray much. 2cent.
