Donald Trump is claiming that he didn't invite Sarah Palin to the Republican convention because Alaska is too far away from Cleveland, Ohio.

Ask Cruz if he would be a Senator without Palin. Ask Haley, Ernst, others. Palin isn’t like by many but they are GOPe jerks we don’t want running things.
It would be a huge triumph if a Sarah Palin speech was a secret surprise for the convention. I can see the announcer saying, “Our next speaker needs no introduction. You all know who she is. So, hold onto to your seats because she is going to blow this convention wide open!”

Yep. I was a huge Sarah fan as well. Still like her but her schtick doesn't work anymore. Her delivery is woeful and her cliche speak is soooo played.

I was jumping for joy when she gave such a perfect acceptance speech when McCain chose her. But it was scripted and we later learned how ditzy she could sound when speaking impromptu and being interviewed.

Sadly, I agree with you. As much as I liked Sarah, she got to sound like a stand up comic routine...going for the sarcasm and jokes...she didn’t sound like a serious leader.

With the line up of Rinos speaking, I am not very excited to watch. Just hope Trump is able to keep his promises to us.
Sarah may not have even wanted to speak there. She knows she can be polarizing. She already had a goodrun with Trump during the primaries including Florida.

Disinformation is more than ever very likely. They had Tebow on the list and he tweeted out yesterday morning that was not the case. This whole list is nothing more than Trump letting the media sink itself by reporting assumptions as fact.
In reality, Sarah and Don have made their deal long ago and I fully expect that she will be first, Energy Secretary, long enough to shut it down, as she said she would, and then onto the consolidation of anything having to do with Interior, whether it is or not right now, being lumped in and dissected by getting rid of the waste and useless agencies.
Then why wasn't that the reason given? It'd make far more sense than saying Alaska is too far away.
If she was indeed asked, that lame excuse about being so far away is probably to save face. It could be that she decided not to come because she knows how the media attacks her, and she did not want to detract from Trump.
