If Donald Trump was hoping for GOP unity leading into next weeks convention, theres a ways to go.
In addition to the last breaths of the #NeverTrump movement, the Log Cabin Republicans are denouncing recent developments for the partys 2016 platform, calling it the most anti-LGBT platform in the partys 162-year history.
The organization, which represents LGBT conservatives, issued a letter from its president decrying the platforms changes, which have been reported as a rightward lurch even from the partys 2012 positions.
Opposition to marriage equality, nonsense about bathrooms, an endorsement of the debunked psychological practice of pray the gay away its all in there, the letter reads.

It seems like the only time the media trots out the Log Cabin Republicans is to criticize the Republican platform’s position on homosexual marriage and other gay agenda items.

I dont think so. Workeed with too many gay guys in graphics and while they are very fiscally conservative, a bunch of them, they want to be accepted in a way that will not happen in the GOP.
Their alternative is getting throwm from buildings in ten years or so on a regular basis.

"an endorsement of the debunked psychological practice of pray the gay away"
Except that there are many cases where it has worked (see the works of Leanne Payne, Agnes Sanford, and many others). Does mainstream psychology cure all instances of alcoholism, drug addiction, depression, pedophilia, extreme anger, compulsive gambling, and numerous other conditions or tendencies? Does counseling save every marriage? Of course not. Are treatments for these conditions therefore "debunked" or worthless?

You can sense the desperation on the left. The only way they can defeat Trump is by demonizing him and hoping the voters see him as a racist, a homophobe, an egomaniac, and an uncaring billionaire who doesn’t care about the average American.
