People are quick to use the term “civil war” but I don’t think that term means what they think it means, to paraphrase Inigo Montoya.

Once our “Lexington” moment arrives there will be no turning back, just as there was no turning back in 1775. We’re sitting on a powderkeg and we all know it.

This isn't even much of an exaggeration, it sounds like a run-of-the-mill article in Salon or Politico or the Atlantic or the Huffington Post these days. Try punching one of these guys in the nose, though, and they'll be on the phone posthaste to one of those oppressive cops they hate. Sometimes I think it would be worth it.

What is needed is a well-deserved and long-overdue election thrashing, because any other kind is going to get bloody and there may be no turning back. They're already doubling down on the rioting after shooting cops in the back. We may already may be at the point of no return.
