Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich tells Breitbart News that he would consider being Republican candidate Donald Trumps running mate in Novembers general election. Asked if Trump has asked him to be running mate, Gingrich said, No.
Asked if he would consider being running mate, Gingrich said, Yes. But, I think he has to make that decision.
It is the most extraordinary campaign of its time, the former speaker added. Hes come out of nowhere and defeated 16 other candidates.
If he catches fire he could be much like Reagan in 1980, Gingrich said, noting that Trump could match those record numbers if this thing continues to evolve and people learn how dishonest and unserious Hillary Clinton is.
In conversation, Gingrich habitually rattles off ballot statistics for small nationalistic parties in other parts of the world, from Austria, where the election is so close theyre going to have to re-run it because the establishment stole about 60,000 votes. The two parties that had run the country came in fourth and fifth, to Rome, where Virginia Raggi won the mayoral election heading the populist Five Star Movement. To Great Britain.
The British people heard from the establishment unanimously opposing it and the people just ignored them and rolled over it, he said before he started talking about the election of a schoolteacher in Iceland.

“Mike Lee, Ben Sasse, Tim Scott, Jeff Sessions”
Again, these are great for those of us that run in these circles.
But these guys are no way ready to go up against the media machine.
They are way too much “aw shucks” and not enough street fighter.
They aren’t going to be hand-held until they “find their voice” or circulated around AM talk radio shows and other safe venues.
They will need to get in the face of the press-n-Hillary like Trump has and be on offense (REAL OFFENSE) 24/7. Not pulling punches because it might offend church ladies or some such crap.
So your definition of conservative is one who lavishly praises the most liberal senator in congress, while fragging our best chance to beat Hillary.
SMH.
Wow, and what's second prize? He rubs me the wrong way the same as HHH used to do.
Your choice is Trump or Hillary.
That’s all there is to it.
What you are seeing are people that realize this, and are hell-bent on winning to prevent a disaster from turning into a catastrophe.
Like it or not, there is no room to be too cute by half, and unfortunately your challenges are going to be seen as a needless pest that thinks there is room to screw around and that this election isnt THAT important.
Newt is the sharpest conservative out there, his massive intellect cuts like a knife and he makes short work of democrats and the press, much like Trump.
Too old to be a viable VP, great advisor though.
No Gov’nors please.
That would reinforce the title of Trump’s campaign book.
No to Newt. He is old, has been and goes whichever way the wind blows. I don’t trust him.
We need new blood, a fresh face
Me too.
I have never understand the urge of conservatives to join with the communists to despise her.
Just say no to Newt ‘white people don’t understand blacks’ Gingrich
Allright, we're pulling on the same end of the rope. That's good.
I think what I and others (over)react to, is that it seems there are those on our side who still want to act as if its primary season. That's over, and now we are in the battle of our lives! If that hasn't become abundantly clear in the past week, I don't know what I could possibly say.
At this point, anything other than "let's get Trump elected" is, in my opinion, a waste of time. Trump is our candidate. He has warts. He will say things that make us cringe. He will occassionally misstep and have to correct himself. But the alternative is Hillary Clinton, and that my FRiend would be a nightmare. I'm fighting for the sake of my grandkids, (at 68, there isn't much new under the sun for me to see or hear), but I care deeply about those I love, and so I will defend Trump to the max at this point, despite his obvious failings.
All of our AA friends are votingTrump, too. They voted zero in 2008, but not 2012.
The only time I ever voted Democrat in my life was for Zell Miller for Governor. He is more conservative than most Republicans. He is a one and done.
Just because Flynn knows a Jihad when he sees one does not mean he’s one of us. Trying to put a Democrat on the ticket is insanity. I don’t believe for one minute Trump is going to try it. I think he’s likely vetting Flynn for DOD which is fine by me.
Your statement would At The Most be an argument for requiring everyone to have major medical policy coverage in the case of catastrophic illness or injury. Major medical policies are cheap. That’s NOT what Newt and Romney advocated for and ultimately zero pushed into law.
DOD for Flynn would be a definite good slot, we agree on that.
That’s the beauty of a Trump win. We will hold his feet to the fire, (and you know the libs will be on his butt from day 1).
If hiLIARy gets in, she will get a pass from both sides, just like zero did.
That summation was as excellent as it was concise.
Hey Kit Cat,
That is so weird because I have that same thought!!!
And I could live with that choice very well.
I admire Paul’s knowledge and understanding of the Constitution. He knows the legislative process, he has a core of integrity and loyalty to Constitutional principles.... If he can come on board with regard to DJT’s immigration policies, I think he would be an excellent choice.
