When freeways are shut down, why don’t they deploy water cannons like that and get them opened again. The police letting them stay closed for hours is BS.

I figured. They were a bit over cautious on that one but I can’t argue with the way they handled it. The traffic was shut down for what, 15 minutes. Oakland let them keep the road closed for 7 hours.
Does anyone have good video? Channel 12 is showing a land-based camera at the TV station. Nothing to see.

According to the Arizona Highway Patrol at the scanner link above they are checking out a group of 10 to 20 people gathering near a freeway on ramp.
