Woman Facebook live-streams her dying boyfriend seconds after he is shot four times by a cop as his mother says police kept her from her son's deathbed and claims the girlfriend is now missing ===============================================
The devastated mother of a black man who was shot dead by a cop and whose death was live-streamed on Facebook by his girlfriend says she was prevented from seeing him on his deathbed.
Valerie Castile, mother of Philando Castile, 32, who was shot in Falcon Heights, Saint Paul, Minnesota on Wednesday night, also claimed they have been unable to locate Diamond Reynolds, his girlfriend, since she was arrested by police.
The shocking footage of the aftermath of the shooting has sparked protests in Saint Paul, with hundreds of people descending on the Governor of Minnesota's house demanding justice. It is the second controversial police shooting of a black man to emerge in 24 hours.
In the video, Reynolds tells viewers that she and Castile were pulled over for a busted tail light by a 'Chinese police officer'.
She claims the cop, from the St. Anthony Police Department in Falcon Heights, asked Castile, a cafeteria supervisor at a Montessori school in St Paul, to show his license, but then shot him four times while he reached for it.
As she talks, she moves the camera across to show Castile, bloody and losing consciousness, and the cop - still pointing his gun, as her young daughter sits in the back seat.
The police officer, who is yet to be identified, been placed on paid leave.

Even so, where I live, the victim is taken by ambulance to hospital where he’s listed as DOA. Bizarre event.
It must be a singular foreign import car from Japan or UK...............
The cops jumpiness around black people is most likely the result of the fact that the 3% of the population that comprises young black males commit about 40% of all crime.
That's no excuse here, especially after the man made it clear he had a license. That alone should have reassured the officer, but for anyone contemplating getting a concealed carry license, I urge them to get one of these and show it first.
It will move the officer in the direction of giving someone the benefit of the doubt that he might not otherwise use.
they found pot in the car apparently.
wow... so weird... what could cause the video to reverse like that?
Pretty miserable when the best course of action is to be calmer and more controlled than the police officer who confronts you and it still gets you killed.
The police are not going to talk their way out of this one.
Update in post 87 that makes no sense. Says she spent the night in jail?
More to the story?
Yep, I agree.
Usually this results from a fight or resisting.
This guy appears to have done everything right and died for it.
My husband’s grandmother, born in Sicily, was married at 15. It was very common in the past where people died at an early age, often due to childbirth, that women married very young. Margaret Anjou, wife of the mad Henry 6th, gave birth to her first kid at 13!
I believe Loretta Lynn married at 15.
Oh, how convenient!
Yeah, amazing how, at a shooting, a bag of pot was found. No one would believe that a cop would have a drop bag on him, would they? Nah. Not a cop who shoots someone who was following his orders. Never.
The report I remember reading that from basically was the woman admitting they had done nothing wrong except they had a small amount of pot in the car.
Funny thing, I am always polite to cops. They are always polite to me. I pull way over so they don’t have to stand in traffic. It never occurs to me that they might think I am a threat. It does occur to me that a car might hit them. I get let go with a warning.
Like I said, privilege. Except for those spotlights at night. And some expectations of conduct here, which I don’t think would have been the same twenty years ago.
By the time I’m an old lady, you would think even less threatening than I am now, it wouldn’t surprise me if citizens are expected to lie prone on the pavement for a tail light stop.
They took her away handcuffed in cop car. Why?
SOP for a cover your @$$ mode of operation. In any such incident, the presumption of guilt is on everybody except for the involved law enforcement.
It takes the higher officials some time to figure out what actually happened.
Someone upthread has informed me that this is a common feature on smart phones.
What they have it I don't know.
“In the video, Reynolds tells viewers that she and Castile were pulled over for a busted tail light by a ‘Chinese police officer’. “
I SO HOPE he turns out to be Korean or Japanese.
If the cop was going to cover anything, he should have stood at the back door and talked to the guy if he was worried about getting shot.
a-men bro.north either probaly bought a few thosand dollars worth of steaks in chicago, never eat a damn one or them.
” I try to have my ID out before the COP ever gets to the door. I try to have my ID out before the COP ever gets to the door.”
Back in the hippie days, they told us to always get out of the car with your drivers license etc. to meet the police. I don’t know if they are allowed to shoot you for that now, or not.
Inconsequential. In the hierarchy of preferred groups, Asians have no position. Now if the cop was a transgender muslim Korean, that would be different.
