wow... so weird... what could cause the video to reverse like that? Someone upthread has informed me that this is a common feature on smart phones.

So that you can use your smartphone as a mirror. Obviously it's not smart enough to know whether you're filming a crime scene or adjusting your hair.

Why they have it I don't know. The front facing camera displays an image on the screen the is reversed, so it's like looking in a mirror rather than at a TV. Less disorienting that way.
