A man was shot by police in Falcon Heights on Wednesday evening. In a video posted on Facebook, the mans girlfriend says the police shot him for no apparent reason, no reason at all.
The girlfriend, Lavish Reynolds, started the video with the man slumped next to her, his white T-shirt soaked with blood on the left side. In the video, taken with her phone, she says they were pulled over at Larpenteur Avenue and Fry Street for a broken taillight.
Warning: Graphic video of the incident posted on Facebook
That’s horrible.
not to mention her daughter, who sounds very young, was in the vehicle. It’s a good thing no rounds ricocheted.
That’s horrible.
Those of us disgusted with the killing of LaVoy Finicum in Oregon are listening.
modern training of police goes along too well with BLM goals and propaganda. Shoot first to avoid all risk to yourself. Just shoot. The voice of the cop in the video sounds like he knows he fu..’ed up. Like the guy at the costco. You give an order and kill the guy for obeying the order. What’s a man gonna do when his ID is in his wallet and the cop orders him to get his ID? Either way he gets shot, for not obeying orders or for reaching for his wallet. He told the cop he was a licensed carrier and was armed. That is actually what got him killed. The cop probably had been propagandized that licensed gun owners are all crazed killers. He just has to watch TV to learn that.
Was this a Minneapolis cop? In other words a big city police force? Then you’re probably right.
Yep, here is another very recent example (in FR’s home town of Fresno, CA) of conflicting orders shouted and a 19 y/o (caucasian kid in this case) with no gun is dead:
I, now, fear the police more than I do the criminal.
Maybe people should create an organization and a cellphone app that when the cops are causing a situation, you can activate the app and transmit your location and 50 or 60 armed militia show up.
Always a story just in time to take Hillary/Hussien out of the news cycle. Always. Feel sorry for the victim, but the timing of this is incredible.....
Falcon Heights is a small suburb known because it is home to the Minnesota State Fair. It is adjacent to St. Paul and Minneapolis police would not normally be anywhere close.
When she starts, she says something like “they shot him in the arm.” Later, she loses it, when realizing her boyfriend is seriously injured or dead.
The Louisiana case is different because the cops were sent to deal with an armed perp; whether they saw the gun or not, they had already been told he was armed.
For this one in Minnesota, we’ll see what turns up; if the cop is wrong then hang him.
I agree.
If nothing is reported found (gun, drugs, warrant) then I wouldn’t want to be in that cop’s shoes.
Seems like a lot of patrol cars there for a minor traffic stop.
“He informed the officer he was licensed to carry and was attempting to provide his ID.”
See I missed that. This is getting worse and worse.
I understand the cops were wearing body cams, but had them/it knocked loose. But, it kept recording video and audio of the incident.
“Lavish said her boyfriend had a CC permit and told the officer, who advised him to keep his hands in sight - and the boyfriend immediately started doing something with his hands other than what was directed by officer.”
I’m not going to defend the cop without knowing all the details, but how many times can cops see other cops killed on the news during traffic stops without wondering when their own number is up? If the above statement is true (that he ignored the instructions to keep his hands in sight and ignored that command) and on video, there is no way to convict the cop.
In my town (between Newark & Jersey City) the cops tend to swarm if the call is something potentially risky for a cop; they are overstaffed anyway, and probably appreciate the mutual support.
Yeah the cry-shouting cop knows he screwed up. The incident in La. lost its’ PR value when it turned out the guy was a long-time con and registered sex offender. This is one the activists will ride long and hard because it looks like a case of a cop who couldn’t handle black skin and the word gun in the same situation even though the dude was being forthright about his CCW. Thanks Barney Fife. Leave your bullet in the front left pocket from now on.
