Huma Abedin, a top aide to presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, says that the former secretary of state routinely used burn bags to dispose of personal documents during her time at the State Department.
“If there was a schedule that was created, that was her Secretary of State daily schedule, and a copy of that was then put in the burn bag, then that certainly happened,” Abedin stated. “On more than one occasion.”
Abedin also admitted to being “aware of [her] obligation not to delete federal records or destroy federal records.”
The (State Department has clear regulations) pertaining to the use of “burn bags,” and while government officials are directed to use them to dispose of both “paper” and “hardrives,” the government strictly prohibits several items — including “personal documents” — from being destroyed in burn bags.

I can't see there would be any issue burning a copy, unless it is the only copy.

The only question is whether she was burning the quid or the pro quo.
Out of curiousity what are we getting worked up on this:
1) She used a government burn bag to destroy personal documents.
2) or that she was destroying records that the government is legally required to track.
The first, I am inclined to treat with less seriousness than a parking ticket. The latter is part of a pattern of record destruction that she has engaged in.

Oh, the skeleton closet of Hillary is as big as Al Gore’s mansion. Trump is doubtless planning to have quite a field day visiting it. He’s rope-a-doping her right now.
However, once more we must do our part. Hillary has serious supernatural sluggers taking her part, the home team of hell. We must keep the knee-mails coming to Heaven.
When they say personal documents, I am betting they mean actual personal stuff like your own bank statements. Documents required for archive purposes would not be considered personal.
the daily caller page is 80% ads that adblock apparently cannot effectively block. I may have to go to text only browsing. so tired of ads putting up disgusting pictures to ‘make you notice’. the fact that Hillary repeated flouted the law and rules should surprise no one.
Daily schedules for Sec State are government documents. If they were subpoenaed under the FOIA, and do not exist, then this is first hand admission that government documents were illegally and purposefully destroyed.
