It’s so cute. It’s like an aircraft carrier, but smaller.

The purpose of the movement of this floating fortress will not be “to rid the world of death cult”, as that would require the total and complete obliteration of Islam, root, stem, branch, leaf, flower and seed pod. This expeditionary force could very well suppress the current vigorous prosecution of the spread of mayhem and bloodshed by ISIS, but that is only one part of the world cancer that is Islam.

A worthy goal, none the less, but not yet enough to assure the evil that is the literal implementation of the political program spelled out in the Koran has been removed from the world stage now and for all time.

Just as the world now looks with abhorrence upon the world view outlined in “Mein Kampf”, so should the words of the Koran be held in similar contempt. The two texts are remarkably similar in their themes and objectives.

I never read either of those books, but I do believe there are similar themes and objectives in each.

Good post!

If they were, Russia would retaliate like you would not believe and Putin would care less what Obama, Kerry, or McCain would say about it.

Putin is the only one actually doing effective attacks against isis. Obama is doing everything to arm and protect them that he can without openly admitting it.

Dead bad guys, good; more Russian power in the region, bad.

They are welcome to try, I support them.
However, I doubt it will be destroyed. They are making jihadis faster than the Russians (or anyone else) can kill them.

In the end, this is not our problem ... except to keep them contained in the region where they live.

The article claims that UK and US air strikes have already left ISIS on “the brink of collapse”. So Obama will claim credit.

>>Although the Kuznetsov at 885 feet and 67,000 displacement is larger than the USS Lexington (an Essex class fleet carrier) that served the US Navy until 1991.<< By comparison: USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) Length: 1,092′ Weight: 103,000 tons OTOH, comparing CICs and you get: Putin: Destroyer, obliterates everything in his way obozo: dingy, asks everyone to move else he will cry

As a comparison the Wasp class LHD is 843 feet long with a roughly 41,000 ton displacement, and the Mistral class French helocopter carrier is 653 feet long with a displacement of 21,000 tons.
