Sources: Hillary Clinton Not Expected to Face Charges in Federal Email Probe

According to sources that are familiar with the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton‘s use of a private email server, the former Secretary of State is not expected to face charges in the probe.

This, according to CNN’s Senior Producer Edward Mejia Davis, who took to Twitter shortly ago to indicate the likely announcement of “no charges”:

During an unexpected interview hit on MSNBC this evening with Chuck Todd, Clinton herself was asked about the reports that she would not face charges. “As we were talking, there are news reporters that indicate no charges may be brought against you and a final decision in a couple weeks,” said Todd in the waning seconds of the hit.

“Chuck I am not going to comment on the process. I have no knowledge of any timeline. This is entirely up to the Department,” said Clinton, who voluntarily sat with the FBI this morning for 3.5 hours as part of their final stage of the investigation into the possible violation of the law and the handling of classified material.

CNN reporters are “familiar with the FBI’s investigation”. They chatted it up over a cup of coffee and presto! a “news” story.

....was there someone out there who expected her to face charges?

I’m not sad there are corrupt people in our government: there always has been.

I’m sad that no one is even making a limp wristed attempt to pretend they’re going to try to stop the corrupt people.

Hillary left SAP** information unprotected.

I doubt the FBI will get much to charge there unless there are SAPPED details that first appear in a SAP document and later in an nonsecure email. Even if that was done, there is zero chance she did it. Obviously she would have an underling do it for her.

A bigger charge is her husband got $15M from one "education" company and $5M from a second company, in income (not foundation money), both of which were competing for State Dept business. Another problem is her use of State Dept trips to collect money for the foundation in undisclosed meetings.

He's a Federal employee and a political appointee. He is, by definition, bought an paid for. He will do exactly what his boss, Lynch, tells him to do. Nothing more, nothing less.

As a contractor, I have worked around Federal employees for 40 years, and they ALWAYS do that their boss wants. ALWAYS.

“The first step should be mass, coordinated acts of civil disobedience.”

How about no indictments or convictions of fellow citizens in any federal corruption cases until government officials are held to the same standard, starting with an indictment of Hillary.

Well here is my shocked face LOL..anyone with an IQ greater than a cockroach knew that she would never be indicted..after all its the Clintons, they have been getting away with EVERYTHING for what, 30+ years..this is nothing to them..and the little meeting between Clinton and Lynch confirmed that..Bill just needed confirmation that Lynch will NOT be prosecuting his wifey and she said of course not and Bill said “Then those pics of your hubby with little boys will never be released”

Not forever. No one does.

I’m thinking he walks. If he wants to keep his rather fine legacy, he resigns. These guys have egos. Some even have character.

Otherwise, yes, take the retirement and kiss your reputation goodbye.

He wouldn’t. I suspect Comey was chosen precisely because he could be controlled.

Comey is thought to be un-bought by either party and apparently has proved it on occasion.

And John Roberts will absolutely kill ObamaCare. Right.

The vaunted integrity of the FBI director, if it exists at all, is the critical factor.

Hoover was fired three times and yet he died in office.

Sources? What sources?

How would they even know this? The FBI hasn’t even recommended charges much less completed their investigation.

I think this is bogus.

I’m just curious what excuses will be given for not charging her. That there was not enough evidence or that she was just an innocent bystander. Or that it was just the right wing conspirators setting her up. I can’t wait to see what knots they have to tie themselves in to exonerate her.
