The end of the world has been canceled. Brussels deeply saddened.

The losses were always about the values going up too much as speculators were leveraging to buy long positions on their assumptions that the vote would be to stay. After the vote these people had to sell their bets, hence the market sold off hard when everybody was trying to exit at the same time. This created opportunities to buy.

CAC and DAX have recovered only half.

I recently had a friend tell me that Donald Trump has no experience in International affairs. I was incredulous. I pointed out to her that he had been engaging in International Commerce for decades. She was speechless....her Leftists talking points were debunked......nowhere to turn.

***Punishing the Brits for wanting to break free from the overbearing Brussels tyrants.***
How soon will the EUnion invade Rebel Britain to bring them back into the EUnion?
Will the flag of Britain become a phariah on college campuses? Will people fall down and foam at the mouth at the sight of it?

Elitist temper-tantrum already over. They came to the realization that they have FAR more on the line with the US presidential election; and if they wreck the global economy, they risk a Trump victory.

From what I have read, many other nations in the EU are leaning toward their own Brexit vote. Stay tuned to see if Europe will indeed stand or fall.

Yes, it took less than a week for the contrived panic to abate.
Common sense--based upon the past three centuries of British history--tells anyone who has it, that Britain unfettered will do a lot better than Britain dictated to by a bureaucracy over the Channel.
By the way. I am sure most at Free Republic have observed that the economic "pundits," predicting disaster over the British exit, seem to overlap very consistently, with those who push the Never Trump silliness. There is a pattern there.
