Did we ever think we would see the day when the New York Times would willingly acknowledge a battle over globalization?
And it not just the New York Times. Here are some other mainstream media headlines mentioning globalism:

The mainstream media usually doesn’t acknowledge globalism as an issue. Like central banking it is simply asserted as a fact, as natural as the air we breathe.
But now all of a sudden we are finding out it is a policy after all – something made by the hand of man and not descended from on high.
And thus what may be a new dominant social trend: Globalism versus Populism.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news in this regard.
We had several hours of euphoria after Brexit before we calmed down and realized it might be “too good to be true.”
And HERE is an article by Bernard-Henri Levy on the new emergent meme. Levy is an eloquent, leftist, French philosopher and writer:

In the midst of all this chaos I couldn’t help but think of Genesis Cp 11. Seems all the people being the same and speaking the same language got into a bit of trouble when they colluded together to “make a name for themselves”. The Lord God was not pleased with that kind of arrogance. So He sorted them out and gave them different languages. You see, He saw that the people could not function correctly collectively. Now we see the movers and shakers trying to recreate another one-world collective and reverse God’s idea that smaller nations of one language and one culture works better. Smaller schools work better, small government works better, small banks work better.etc. We are way off track folks. We better pray that the dear Lord sees fit to “re-scatter” the people back to manageable state size. The U.S. historically worked better because we were separate states. We got in trouble when government got too big. That’s my sermon for tonight.

Worth remembering....
Levy is simply projecting his own views and intolerance. The left are the biggest intolerant AH’s on the planet.
The leftist are tolerant as long as you agree with them or else be branded a hateful racist.
Wrecking everything at the service of market should not be exalted as a sacred cow. You will destroy the stable society on which market economy is built on. The society with functioning legal system, public security, and little social chaos.
Business people can pack and go to some place else to open a shop but if they do not change their behavior, they will wreck that place, too. World cannot provide endless supply of stable society, while wrecking continues.
Market economy is built on certain foundations. Everything is not built on market economy. Market economy cannot provide its own foundation.
Revulsion to put some constraints on the market tend to go to extreme to the point that it could undermine the foundation of market economy.
Trump is no goodie goodie, but 2016 has boiled down to good vs evil. Corrupt vs legitimate.
It’s difference between Individual Freedom and Right to pursuit happiness vs Globalism where a group of elite, tax exempt, diplomatic immunity, free from from civil and criminal lawsuits rules over the peasants.
The word “populism” is being used as a negative connotation against freedom loving individuals.

Insofar as Globalism is composed of illegal immigration, high levels of taxation, high levels of bureaucracy, the minimization of the nation state in favor of supra-national bodies, and a general unwillingness to defend Western Civilization against the demonic hordes of muslims, I oppose it.
But I like low taxes.
Their views were not exactly presented in a polite fashion IIRC - more like threats.
