DENVER, June 28 (UPI) -- Hillary Clinton pledged Tuesday she would bring "affordable" broadband Internet access to all U.S. homes by 2020 as part of a series of proposals to increase web access and bolster the tech sector of the economy.
Presently, the Federal Communications Commission reports 10 percent of Americans, roughly 34 million people, do not have access to broadband Internet. The vast majority of them are people living in rural areas, where tech companies have declined to install the infrastructure necessary to bring high-speed Internet to a small number customers due to the cost.

Sounds like Hillary is saying "Let them eat cake." "Let them eat cake" is the traditional translation of the French phrase "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche", supposedly spoken by "a great princess" upon learning that the peasants had no bread. Since brioche was a luxury bread enriched with butter and eggs, the quote would reflect the princess's disregard for the peasants, or at least a complete lack of understanding that the absence of basic food staples was due to poverty rather than a lack of supply. From Wikipedia.
For sure she doesn't live like the rest of the US.

After the COmmunists took over South Việt Nam they tried to make sure that every household had a television. It was a more effective device for promulgating propaganda than the ubiquitous speakers on power poles. Hillary Clinton, and probably Mr. Obama look at the Internet the same way. Their ideological friends control mass communications on the Web already and it would not take terribly much to pinch off the non conforming traffic. Then the country would be back to something like the Big Three Networks being the source of all information. FR et al can simply be blocked or they can be sued into bankruptcy. It will be easy when the left finishes its conquest of the Judiciary.

And now for the part you’ll never read: ‘To give legs to the project, Hillary pledged millions of dollars from her family slush fund and political influence money laundering organization. The ‘Clinton Foundation’ will work hard to get matching grants from other foundations so that there will be no additional costs for taxpayers.’
Why? Because she’ll never do that; there’s still other people’s futures to spend. (I’d say other people’s money, but they ran out of that 19 trillion dollars ago.)
