Investigators quickly discovered that the Department of Homeland Security had been providing weapons designed for war to almost any police department, no matter how small, that wanted them.
A new report by American Transparency, a nonpartisan watchdog that compiles data on public expenditures, indicates the militarization of ordinary American life goes well beyond law enforcement and regular citizens.
Their report, titled "The Militarization of America," looked at government expenditures and found that 67 federal agencies during the fiscal years 2006 to 2014 amassed stockpiles of guns, ammunition and military-style equipment to the tune of $1.48 billion.
While it is possible agencies like the Department of Veterans Affairs, which spent $11.7 million on military equipment in that time frame, needs to arm its hospitals' security guards, there is a long list of agencies with no obvious need for assault weapons.

During WWII, Americans had the moral conviction to guide them through uncertain times, but I fear we as a nation have lost that foundation. I have often said that there could be no worse evil than an America without moral restraint, and we are close to that precipice.

I tend to doubt that jealousy was a motivating factor among the SS and I wouldn’t call them cowards. These were simply cruel and evil men with a value system utterly alien to Christianity. In the 50s my dad was stationed in Germany once again and he saw these old SS characters around the city. They weren’t the slightest bit regretful of their past actions, they were just sorry they weren’t still able to practice them.

I don’t doubt that at all. They must have completely seared away their conscience. I have dealt with psychopaths occasionally, and their lack of regret was astounding. I don’t know that these people had a value system beyond themselves. I believe such people are rare in normal times, but they multiply rapidly when evil reigns.

There seems to be a notion on this thread that the lily-livered *bureaucrats* will be using the war-grade weapons. I doubt that. There is no shortage of people trained to use them and to take orders.

If or when communications, power, services cease, folks natural reaction is to band together with like minded folks. It will happen as a survival instinct. Homeowners will band together, small town residents will band together. They will begin setting up guards, teams to gather, teams to formulate logistics, teams to go gather intelligence.
That's the folks with prep in their blood. Thousands will become vulnerable. These will be the ones that will be caught in utter chaos. Many will perish.
Those who band together will have a higher level of survivability.
Plan now. The tea leaves I read, time is becoming shorter and shorter.

And that's what they'll try to do. (And they could restrict it to 2 or 3 people per State per week, avoiding the same county for 2 weeks, or something like that, to make it sound like they're isolated incidents
to the more suspicious and like they're following the trail
of subversive groups to the "law and order" crowd.)
Either that or they could pull off a few false-flag operations.
