First off, the IRS is unconstitutional
Second off - NO RIGHT to have assault weapons, which would ONLY be turned on civilians -
I’ve seen this a few places. Are they actually AR-15s or are they select-fire military rifles, M-16/M-4? Obama said his civilian force would be as well equipped as the military.
To help disarm We The People, Silly! ;)
Answer: Government bureaucrats, conscious of their lack of their inability to give good government, are becoming increasingly frightened.
I had to go to the Social Security office in our little city after my Dad passed away.
I had to go through a metal detector with two armed guards standing there just to get into the building.
The Social Security office waiting area looked like a prison.
Chairs lined up against the wall with an armed security guard facing you.
There was a cement wall between the citizens and the Social Security employees.
The waiting area was covered by cameras.
Your point of access to the taxpayer-paid employees was a thick piece of bullet proof glass with an intercom.
Unbelievable.
Great. Now put them on the border.
How long before the feds go door to door wity SWAT teams looking to see if you ripped that tag off your mattress?
This metastization has been going on for over a decade.
I would restrict the ability to order weapons and ammo to only a few agencies. Basically if you agency cannot make a good case for having Federal arrest powers they cannot buy weapons or ammo. Note Land management agencies (USDA FS, BLM and Park Service et al) have no need for Federal arrest power, they should talk to the local government about having their arrest power (extreme example, who gets to arrest the drunken fool driving aimlessly shooting a gun out his window while in a National Park?).
There would be a few exceptions to my general rules, like the Smithsonian would be able to buy weapons, but could not buy ammo for their museum pieces.
Because they have so many enemies?
“Why Does the IRS Need Guns?”
Arming the bureaucracies and trying to disarm the public-fertile ground for conspiracy theories. Curiouser and curiouser.
Because the ultimate goal is to create a police state.
Totalitarianism must be adequately defended.
I’ve seen this before. It reminds me of FEMA camps. No one on here has a legitimate answer. No one in the press is asking this question or I would see it here. If true, why is this funny? I fail to see the humor, if it is true.
IS IT?
I don’t want to see manifests. I want to see these agencies have to explain and PROVE that it isn’t true, because there can be NO NEED for these agencies to have these types and quantities of weapons and ammunition.
Inquiring minds want to know.....MINE
Why doesn’t the IRS need guns? Stealing is a risky business.
Few years ago the coal mine inspectors started packing heat after a few errant shots came their way. It was a good idea on their part.
It just wont be krystalnacht without em!
All Fascist states need the maximum staff armed TO DESTROY FREEDOM.
Democrat congresscritters recently finished making fools of themselves by staging an infantile sit-in to protest resistance to their incremental repeal of the Second Amendment. They feel strongly that law-abiding American citizens should be denied the right to bear arms. Meanwhile, this provides context:
There are now more non-military government employees who carry guns than there are U.S. Marines, according to a new report.
Open the Books, a taxpayer watchdog group, released a study Wednesday that finds domestic government agencies continue to grow their stockpiles of military-style weapons, as Democrats sat on the House floor calling for more restrictions on what guns American citizens can buy.
The Militarization of America report found civilian agencies spent $1.48 billion on guns, ammunition, and military-style equipment between 2006 and 2014.
Open the Books found there are now over 200,000 non-military federal officers (serving in 67 different federal agencies) with arrest and firearm authority, surpassing the 182,100 personnel who are actively serving in the U.S. Marines Corps.
The IRS spent nearly $11 million on guns, ammunition, and military-style equipment for its 2,316 special agents. The tax collecting agency has billed taxpayers for pump-action and semi-automatic shotguns, semi-automatic Smith & Wesson M&P15s, and Heckler & Koch H&K 416 rifles, which can be loaded with 30-round magazines.
Under Obama, the IRS has become notoriously politicized and should be abolished as Ted Cruz proposed. The same could be said for the EPA, which destroys the enemies of the far left in the name of bogus enviro-Jacobin ideology.
The EPA spent $3.1 million on guns, ammo, and equipment, including drones, night vision, camouflage and other deceptive equipment, and body armor.
Heres some more context for the sit-in. At least 26 of the participants own guns themselves:
Congressional Democrats ended their 25-hour sit-in on the House floor [Thursday] afternoon, failing to force a vote on two pieces of gun legislation. The controversial sit-in included 26 Democratic lawmakers who themselves own guns, Heat Street learned after examining 2013 USA Today data on congressional firearms ownership. The participants also included 12 more Democrats in Congress who either didnt respond to USA Todays gun survey or declined to say whether or not they possessed a firearm.
Even those congresscritters who dont own guns are of course protected by men with guns. They say they deserve protection
New York Democratic Rep. Charlie Rangel says members of Congress deserve and need people with firearms protecting them in the U.S. Capitol building, but he does not want law-abiding residents in his own district to be armed for self-protection.
but believe the citizens they live off of as parasites do not even deserve the natural right to protect themselves.
Round up all weapons and body armor from Govt agencies that are non military. Hold a big sale and give it all cheap to the public.
I should run for office. I am good at solving these problems. :-)
