“This bill, it doesn’t even say your gun will automatically be taken away, it just means local police will be notified,” Espero said in a phone interview.

YEP! If you believe that I've got some prime land in Blacks Bayou, LA. I'd like to sell you.

BOOK EM DANNO!!

The DEMe has stated that the right wing, gun owners are more of a threat to our beloved USA. That is a massive lie. Liberalism is the greater threat ten fold.

The GOPe has recently stated that THEY want to teach us, meaning "We The People" a lesson.
Time to teach THEM, those who work for "We The People" a lesson....

TIME TO VOTE THEM OUT AND ENACT TERM LIMITS

‘shall not be infringed.’ Not ‘shall not be infringed, except by well meaning legislation meant to track people merely for exercising their rights....’

I’d love to see a gutsy Republican state start putting people in a database for getting an abortion or for public speaking or even more entertaining, for being a reporter.

‘Reporters are people who the public trusts and is issued specific identification that allows entry into areas which may be closed off to others. To allow someone like that to continue to have those privileges after a sex offense, a stalking charge, a domestic violence charge, a drug offense, mental illness, etc would endanger everyone.’

Man, I miss governments with guts.

This isn’t about terrorism-it’s about punishing everyone who isn’t a liberal.

What we really need is a public registry for all government officials, agents and employees so we can keep an eye on them and make sure they aren’t doing anything illegal.

After all, “If they have nothing to hide, they have nothing to fear.”

has there ever been a single instance where a Hawaii resident gunowner carried their weapon stateside, and committed a crime with that weapon?

Has this been confirmed by another source?

It seems odd to me that a state could give direction to the feds - telling them who they need to place in their (fed) database.

“federal criminal record database”

They are effectively saying that all gun owners are criminals! Outrageous!

Such an easy state to have had a terrible boating accident by which your guns were lost.

Even a simple visit to a psychologist for marital trouble, grief, cancer, can be given a diagnosis and code. Unfair. This disqualifies any Hawaiian from receiving good mental health.

I’m all for people convicted of violent crimes or stalking to lose their right to own guns.

But the mental health one is dead wrong. The mental health professional should only have the right to report those who display evidence of planning harm to self or others.

I wonder if Governor Ige was in Barry Soetoro’s Choom Gang.
He’s a little older, but not enough to make it too unlikely. Geographically it works, although they went to different highschools.

Wrong. They have put only legal, non-violent, honest citizens in their database. They have not put illegal, violent criminals in it.
Their intention is to take guns from honest, non-violent citizens and leave them in the hands of violent criminals.
Yes.

http://www.westhawaiitoday.com/news/local-news/scores-show-runners

they are conducting a virtual lottery , to see who gets the State’s authorization to be licensed medical marijuana ‘dispensary ‘ growers . For all the 10’s of 1000’s of Hawaii potheads , who hold medical marijuana permits , issued for virtually ANY malady or complaint . Yet not one iota of effort is being made to discover if any of these ‘ licensed ‘ marijuana smokers are also registered firearms owners . Ignoring the Federal stipulation that ‘ no person who is a user of or addicted to marijuana shall own or possess a firearm ( BATF yellow form ) . Governor Ige completely ignores this existing law and fails to order that his Hawaii Criminal Data Center link with the medical marijuana permit holders data base , maintained by the Hawaii State Dept. of Health , and report the finding to the Federal Rap Back program , as these individuals are in clear violation of Federal law . With the State of Hawaii’s blessing . Yet Governor Ige is happy to report ALL legal and registered ( non-pot smoking ) firearms owners , to be contained in a Federal criminal data base and watch list . Can any one say Hypocrite 1st Class ?
