Editors Comment: The fact that armed IRS agents, along with those of other departments and agencies, now outnumber the ranks of Marines would be absurd if it werent so dangerous.
The founding fathers complained of the abuses under King George III, writing in the Declaration of Independence: He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.
Despite hard-fought attempts to keep these forces at bay, it seems we are back to that point and perhaps well beyond. Today, the IRS represents just one cadre of what has become a bureaucratic army. The age of independence and liberty is waning, and withering on the vine under burdensome taxes, regulations and what often seems like unlimited and unchecked government power, especially at the federal level. Something is clearly very wrong.
IRS Agents Carry AR-15s, but the Obama Administration, Hillary, and Half of Congress Doesnt Want You to Have One
Did you know? Its apparently official that there are now more armed bureaucrats in federal agencies in this country than there are armed U.S. Marines? Thats not being cheeky, thats actually how it is in modern America, the Police State.
On top of that, according to Washington Free Beacon:
The IRS spent nearly $11 million on guns, ammunition, and military-style equipment for its 2,316 special agents. The tax collecting agency has billed taxpayers for pump-action and semi-automatic shotguns, semi-automatic Smith & Wesson M&P15s, and Heckler & Koch H&K 416 rifles, which can be loaded with 30-round magazines.

And they wonder why we cling to our guns.
Hi,
I’m from the U.S. Gub mint and I’m here to help!
It’s pretty obvious that the US feral government doesn’t consider foreign governments to be the enemy. They consider taxpaying US citizens to be the enemy.

= = =
By my calculus that is $4750 per agent.
Where is my share? Will the agent take me shooting at the range? My rusty single-shot muzzle loader is all I can afford, with 100 caps allowance per year. Next investment is to coat it with waterproof bear grease. For canoe accidents.
I was informed that the Marines are somewhere around 200k, if not below that.
Ok, ‘armed Marines’. Nevermind.
I posted this scenario back in June 2014:
Obama has militarized every federal agency, appointed his lapdog generals/officer corp, has the press clearly in his back pocket, and no opposition from congress to hold him and the administration accountable. I dont know in what form it will come, but my gut tells me it will start with drone strikes and escalate from there.I posted this scenario a few weeks ago.
Obama will be term-limited out of the White House in 2016, but he has already hinted that he will "stay in Washington DC" after his presidency is over. What he will do is "organize" his civilian force that will have been weaponized by the time he leaves office.
Obama will arise as a leader in exile with his own loyal military, and he will challenge the incoming President with the threat of real force at some point early in the next administration.
Thinking about it further, it explains all the weapons, ammo, body vests, and armor requests from the BLM, USDA, IRS, Social Security, NOAA, and other bureaucratic outfits not expected to be heavily armored.
When Obama is ready, he will make a loyalty call to anyone from these government jobs who supports him, and will mobilize a militarized insurgency within all 50 states. He doesn't need a centralized army, he will have enough force in each state that matters, enough to scare.
Most recently militarized...

OK, we don’t need those, but they do.
Which brings up some good questions:
1. How many IRS agents have been attacked doing their jobs, where carrying/having firearms would have been justified?
2. How many IRS have AR15’s and why do they need them and not us?
3. What type of live fire training have the IRS agents been through to qualify them to even be around an AR 15.
4. After the basic qualification with any firearm, what live fire tests do they have to do to remain qualified?
bkmk
I’ll see their AR15s and raise ‘em a FAL-O Congo.
I am not surprised nor do I care that IRS agents are armed. I think Treasury agents have been armed about as long as the country has existed. Same for Post Office and FBI.
What surprises me is all the non law enforcement agencies which have armed agents.
“There are a few hundred thousand Marines.”
182,000
This is all about Obama’s “civilian” army he boasted about.

Gear up.
US Army Expert, NRA Sharp shooter, (only one bar) and I will gladly die for my family, friends, and my neighbors, and YOU.
Plus 39000 reserve = 220,000
Not exactly what the liberal left wanted, but they'll have to accept the compromise!
That’s a scary looking dude!!
I’m good with my hands and maybe a blackjack but that won’t do much gun.
I guess if push comes to shove, give me a gun and point!!
