Thedford, an unemployed former high school teacher, dropped off his 3-year-old and 5-year-old children at daycare around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, but when he returned to his home in Melissa, Thedford forgot about his 6-month-old daughter, according to a warrant viewed by KHOU. He went inside the house to take a four-hour nap before waking up and realizing the baby girl remained in the hot minivan.
When he found the girl she was unresponsive, according to the warrant, so Thedford brought her inside the house and put her in a refrigerator for "an undetermined length of time." He then called his wife, who was at work, and 911 while trying unsuccessfully to perform CPR.

I thing it probably, usually is drugs in these types of cases. It was with the “gay” killer from Kansas a few years ago.
And some people think that pot is harmless.
33 seems an awfully young age to complete a career.
Also, why pay for day care if he's unemployed? Didn't his wife trust him at home with the kids? (With good reason, it seems.)
He was a school teacher. What do they know about kids?
speaks to the intelligence required to be a teacher.....happily this guy was not employed but otoh, if he was, maybe the baby would have been home with mommy or in a decent daycare, where she would at least be alive...

I’ve got the same daycare question that everybody else has. The only answer I can think of is it gave him time to sit on the couch smoking weed and bleep-blooping on his X-Box. Priorities, you know.
Finally, how the hell do you lose a school teaching job? I’ll tell you: by being a degenerate lazy potsmoker who fires up the school computers for extracurricular activities.

okay that was harsh about teachers, but one has to admit that apparently getting an education degree is not a vigorous academic endeavor..
