Voting is under way in a historic referendum on whether the UK should remain a member of the European Union or leave. A record 46,499,537 people are entitled to take part, according to provisional figures from the Electoral Commission. Polling stations opened at 07:00 BST and will close at 22:00 BST. It is only the third nationwide referendum in UK history and comes after a four-month battle for votes between the Leave and Remain campaigns. In common with other broadcasters, the BBC is limited in what it can report while polls are open but you can follow the results as they come in across the BBC after polls close on Thursday evening.

New wrinkle. Ongoing terrorist attack at German movie theater
If you can get one great, it will be a nice bit of history because if the leave vote fails today you may have to exchange it for an EU passport.
Oh yes there is a legal way to leave the EU. According to Article 50 in the Lisbon treaty: 1. Any Member State may decide to withdraw from the Union in accordance with its own constitutional requirements.
Good Morning KC.
What did I think....um...Pencil or Crayon, to much choice !.
This area is almost certainly going to be for Exit. There are signs in the fields, nailed to trees , In Windows, all saying Exit.
The British don’t talk much to strangers unless they are “on a mission”, today there was a lot of chattering in the Queues for the voting papers.
However, this is a Conservative area, who knows how the rest of the country will go. But the Tea leafs do suggest an Exit vote.
The rain has now started ,this usually helps keep Our younger generation away from the Polls.
Fingers crossed and a following wind. :)
I am pulling for your Moose!
F.R. is like my own personal encyclopedia, so much information from everyone.
Moose, have you ever come here to the states?
Megan, I hope your Friend Christie is right about Exit winning but wrong about the fraud.
Nana, could you vote in the Brexit if you wanted too?
No I’m an American citizen, now...
It’s been my observation that when given the choice between uncertain freedom and comfortable slavery, most people will choose chains.
That said, I’m praying, hard, for an epiphany on the part of the British people. We’Ll know tonite.
I’ve spent 24 hour in Houston TX , 24 hours in LAX ,and 24 hours in NYC.
The time in TX was the most amusing, I was only 20. (1995)
There are/where/appeared to be, some interesting age related laws in TX, I think I broke every single one of them. :-)
It is strange how the language is the same ,but words have different meanings...don’t think my Strange accent mix helped either. :D
You and Me both, RKBA.
When the news channels are allowed to start reporting,I’ll be glued to it.
Accent Mix? Have you lived somewhere else Moose? :)
Megan, has your friend picked up an English Accent by working there so much?
At least you didn't spend anytime in Indonesia ;)
No such thing as dual citizenship...by law it is not allowed..
I had to give up my New Zealand citizenship before I could be an American citizen...
A subtle blend of London and Oxfordshire. With other bits I’ve picked up working around the country.
remember Cruz had to give up his Canadian citizenship to run for POTUS...
I’ve never worked in the UK but I did visit a couple years ago. And no one ever said I picked up the accent but that would be wonderful if I did!
What a lot of Americans don’t realize is that our cherished liberties really stem from the traditional liberties accorded to Englishmen. Including our Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
Sadly, too many limit their thinking to what is rather than what could be. By eschewing the EU, Britain could enter into all sorts of new and...Extremely Interesting... arrangements with her former colonies.
They should reclaim you :)
Well, Rules don’t apply to Ubama and you brought so much to America, I thought they could make an exception. ;)
Maybe Christie could pick up a London accent then. ;)
That would be so much fun if you had Megan. A British sounding girl in Wyoming U.S.A! I think you would like that Megan. What did you think of the U.K.?
Moose, what did you think of the U.S.A? :)
“....what did you think of the U.S.A? :)”
That is leading question.
The Truth: I felt out of Scale.
The People where Great, no problems there.
Everything is Taller, Wider, Further apart.
A Person with a 34” waist stepping into 88” Trousers, if you get my meaning.
It is a little overwhelming to start with. And the Cops give me the creeps.
