President Barack Obama again failed to push through additional gun control efforts in Congress — even after blaming the terrorist attack in Florida on Republicans and supporters of the Second Amendment.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest revealed that Obama was “profoundly frustrated” after Senate Republicans again blocked anti-gun legislation.

Earnest suggested that the president would again turn to executive authority to try and enact gun control policies on his own.

If he wants to single-handedly elect Trump, he should most definitely use his pen and his phone to bypass congress and implement more anti-Second Amendment executive orders/memos.

Obama wants to be a tyrant, beyond any doubt. But there’s this pesky obstacle known as the Constitution, which he has often criticized for limiting his powers.

This isn’t UK or Oz, thank God. Their heads of state can ram through legislation and make guns illegal with the stroke of a pen (Margaret Thatcher did this, I’m sorry to say). Then send the police to round up already registered guns & arrest those owners who fail to comply.

Parliamentary government is often called “dictatorship interrupted by elections”.

Doesn’t work that way this side of the pond. Barky can proclaim martial law (and set off a civil war) but other than that drastic possibility, his hands are tied.

Hillary has already warned him not to do anything that she will have to defend as she campaigns.

They’ll have to drag him out of there on January 20th. This could get ugly.

Nah...he's got much bigger fish to fry when he gets on with the UN. Think he's dangerous to America now? Just wait...

Not to mention, I believe, these were just tests to see if they had the votes needed to ACTUALLY further infringe on the 2nd amendment.

Ugly??? Try riotously funny! I'd pay good money to watch that. Imagine a bunch of Marines dragging Stompyfoot, Mooch, and the brats out by their ankles ...

it will be ignored by 95% of lawful gunowners.

Nope. I'd say a safer bet would be that 97% would follow the law. After all, they seem to feel they have waaaaay to much to lose by opposing FedGov.

In general, only III% will not comply...

I consider the sole purpose of my Congressman and both of my State Senators to be to keep ANY EFFING thing this Muslim Tyrant America Hater from happening.

If he takes executive action, defund his ass. Cut the money off, haul his lackeys into Congressional Panels and given them a rectal exam. File lawsuits, harass his agencies, and keep him from destroying us any further.

I don’t give a damn rat’s patootie what this “frustrated” Muslim Christian-Hater wants. I want him GONE.

That itching, scratching, burning, feeling when the administration realizes that Trump is right and that the last eight years has all the durability of a sand castle during an incoming tide?

Good thing for Hillary that the GOP has her back!

Since when do despots and tyrants cede power willingly?

It's gonna take a military action to remove him. Either our military or another nations.

At least there are still enough in Congress who will attempt to stop further subversion of the US Constitution in the form of “gun control” infringement of rights which “...shall not be infringed.”.

Tyranny is actually when Obama issues Executive Orders on “gun control, “assault weapons” bans, etc. that subvert the U.S. Constitution 2nd Amendment.

Exec. Orders become the law unless over ruled by Congress. However, we have yet to see enough Congressmen with the courage to uphold their oath of office by overturning subversive executive orders...

And many posters here still place confidence in that corrupted political group who only show their spines when defending against the status quo.
