It amazes me that this still happens. Every summer, the same story. How stupid are people???? There is no excuse at this point.

Sometimes people don't realize how quickly the inside of a car heats up. But that shouldn't even be the issue. Whatever the temperature, a child should NEVER be left alone in a car, not even for a minute. Not even to scrape off snow, etc.
Notice how we never read about more than 4 or 5 a year?

I agree with you. I used to be somewhat lax with regard to a parent that spends just a few minutes picking up goods in a convenience store. However, pure science convinced me that it gets hot fast and a tiny baby’s physiology cannot stand said heat.
