In the communist world, everything — including your children — belongs to the state.
What if they abort them, have them cut in pieces, somtimes while still alive, and sell their body parts. What do THOSE parents get?
In the end, these people will conclude that even raising your voice to a child is ‘mental cruelty’ - and any variety of discipline will be taboo.

Just yesterday we were eating at a local pub and a small child bolted from her parents are ran onto the edge of a busy and dangerous parking lot. The parents had a tough time corralling the child and told her “we don’t run into the parking lot”. And that was it. The kid was laughing mischievously. She will probably it again.
The point is that some behaviors are so dangerous that some physical reminder can be a good thing. Far better to have the child’s feelings hurt than being badly injured or worse. Just my humble opinion.
This is exactly why the people living in this country can no longer control their children. The UN has gotta go.
Unless they are muslim. Then burning their daughter alive is A-OK.

This would have prevented numerous cruelly inflicted beatings in my family. My father seemed to be wholly indifferent to our anguished cries and pleadings. But that paled in comparison to the maple tree switches that my mother used.
Despite the UN law breaking we are lawful hard-working church going brothers to this day. And love our parents and thank them for the beatings.

I’m sure that part of this is because parents apologetically spanking children would drop the bottom out of the field of child psychology and blow a truck-sized hole in the profits of companies selling Ritalin, Adderall, etc. Diagnoses of ADHD, autism, Ass-burgers, and other ‘common’ afflictions to modern children would easily fall by ~75%.
And let’s not forget all the schools getting fat subsidies for hundreds of ‘special-ed’ children, which once upon a sane time was reserved for who came to school in wheelchairs with an IQ below room temperature and wearing a padded helmet.
