You emphatically cannot buy a fully automatic weapon legally anywhere, any time, or under any circumstances without a background check. You have to pay $200 for a Federal license, and you have to undergo a background check to get a license.

There is no way Soechtig's producer from Colorado, assuming he even exists, could have legally bought a gun in Arizona without a background check because all out of state transactions must go through a FFL dealer (who must perform a background check).
Obama said he wanted a national conversation about guns, but the fact that his camp lies repeatedly makes any kind of constructive conversation impossible.
