Like a crazed serial killer, the liberal green groups are celebrating their victory of putting Americas major coal producers out of business to say nothing of the tens of thousands of miners placed in unemployment lines. Several thousand more mining jobs were lost last month.
Now to get their next homicidal high, the leftists have turned their ambitions on the oil and natural gas industries.
Here is how the Sierra Club spokeswoman, Lena Moffit, explains the grand, green vision:
We have moved to a very clear and firm and vehement position of opposing gas. We oppose any new gas-fired power plants. We also have a policy opposing fracking.
Thats an amazing admission given that natural gas is a clean burning fuel that is reducing greenhouse gas emissions and real pollutants too. Then she admitted: We are doing everything we can to bring the same expertise that we brought to taking down the coal industry and coal-fired power in this country to taking on gas in the same way to ensure that were moving to a 100% clean energy future.
Wow, this is the agenda of lunatics. Scarier still is that the three most prominent Democrats in America arent far behind in this maniacal mindset of killing domestic industries. President Obama says we have to shift to a keep it in the ground strategy when it comes to all fossil fuels. Bernie Sanders is the sponsor of a Senate bill that would effectively ban all oil and gas drilling on federal lands.

If greens honestly feared CO2, they’d support nuclear.
She’s the spokesman? How could anyone possessing a brain accept such drivel? How could anyone keep a straight face uttering such?
They won’t be happy until families are huddled around a USB port hooked up to a solar panel in the dead of winter.
No thank you. I’ll burn things to keep my family warm.
Why do you think I call them environ-MENTAL-ists?
Patrick Moore, founder of Greenpeace, is pro-nuclear. Just that he is no longer with Greenpeace.
I saw when he was being interviewed by Stuart Varney, I thought Stuart’s jaw was going to hit the floor.

If greens wanted to reduce our CO2 output, they'd be in favor of building a wall and booting 12 million illegals too.
Everyone knows it’s China and free trade that’s killing the economy of this country. We are killing coal but importing steel (coal second largest factor for steel) from China is bad. Now we will kill natural gas is bad and then ban imports of plastic from China. We are well on our way to an agrarian worker’s paradise. Then there will be plenty of jobs for everyone.
No, it’s government that’s killing the economy.
Sorry about my initial reply. I thought it was so heavily dripping with sarcasm that I didn’t need the tag.
Our government is killing the use of coal in the US. It is a key component of steel making. Yet we blame China for the demise of US steel making. Our government is now trying to kill natural gas which is the alternative to coal for energy. NG is also a key component of many plastics made in this country. So when the plastics industry is dying in his country we will once again blame China.
In the 70’s the EPA drove the US auto industry into the hands of the Japanese via the idiotic mileage standards. Sugar tariffs are killing the US confectionary industry.
I get aggravated with my FR friends who take the bait and go after China, Mexico, greedy business, etc. and ask for heavy handed government intervention t solve the problems our government first created.
