I remember a Quincy episode where the DI tried to cover up a recruit’s earlier suicide by drowning by rushing all the guys through a creek confusing who was there.

Ribbon Creek April 1956. Chesty Puller testified for the defense and got McKeon convicted of lesser charges. It led to a number of changes in recruit training, including no night marches. Don’t know if they are back or not.
