The Donald and the La Raza Judge

Before the lynching of The Donald proceeds, what exactly was it he said about that Hispanic judge?
Stated succinctly, Donald Trump said U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who is presiding over a class-action suit against Trump University, is sticking it to him. And the judge's bias is likely rooted in the fact that he is of Mexican descent.
Can there be any defense of a statement so horrific?
Just this. First, Trump has a perfect right to be angry about the judge's rulings and to question his motives. Second, there are grounds for believing Trump is right.
On May 27, Curiel, at the request of The Washington Post, made public plaintiff accusations against Trump University -- that the whole thing was a scam. The Post, which Bob Woodward tells us has 20 reporters digging for dirt in Trump's past, had a field day.

You missed him telling Tapper “He’s pro-Mexico” and telling Dickerson on CBS “He is a member of a club or society, very strongly pro-Mexican, which is all fine. But I say hes got bias.

and both of those statements are completely true of course. He is a member of a Pro-Mexico organization, La Raza Lawyers of San Diego which is a chapter of the La Raza Lawyers of California which lists the council of La Raza as an affiliate
on its website and flatly states that its purpose is "to promote the interests of the Latino communities throughout the state".

Let’s say my father was a police officer. I get a summons for jury duty. I find out the case is about a police officer killed when the defendant threw a bottle at him. Does anyone think I would be selected to serve on the jury for that trial? It would never happen because of my perceived bias for the prosecution. I see this as the same kind of bias that Trump is concerned about.

Pat is a genuine "old school" conservative.
You won't see him working for Hillary Clinton the way the neocons are doing.

The establishment Republicans are going to have to be dragged kicking into the Trump corner or exiled into the dust bin of history.
This is war and Trump is on his steed riding the battle line, with his sword raised ready to take us into battle.
Gingrich, Cruz, Rubio, McCain, Romney, McConnell, Ryan, et al, can get on board, or- FOAD!!!
It’s ZERO TOLERANCE from here on out. Either they or with us, or they are not.

Another actual example. Was sitting in a large Los Angeles jury pool. lawyers were selecting jurors. One lawyer asked if anyone has any bias against the defendant. A lady stood up and said yes. The lawyer or judge asked why. She said she owned a business and Vietnamese people were frequently stealing from her business. The defendant was Vietnamese and accussed of theft. Racist ? Not if it’s fact.

Yea, kind of like them if the Chamber of Commerce goal was to (re)take the entire southwest and turn into Mexico...

What gets me is how so many whites act as if any of these race based organizations are innocuous, are not ‘racist’? There are hundreds if not thousands of race based political and lobbying organizations. The Hispanic Caucus for example? What do whites think these groups do?
To: Sarah Barracuda
Actually, it was the law firm that the La Raza judge appointed to represent the plaintiffs that paid money to the Clintons (for speeches).

It's a really big web these folks have. And what would anyone expect from a legal organization calling itself, "La Raza Lawyers Association"?
Yeah, that's not unlike the "Jared Fogle Day Care & Children's Center".

An appointee of President Obama, he has for years been associated with the La Raza Lawyers Association of San Diego, which supports pro-illegal immigrant organizations.
Anyone see anything obvious in this statement? Obama? La Raza? Pro-illegal immigrant?
I live down here in deep South Texas. Don’t tell me that the Mexican population down here is not biased. They won’t integrate, won’t speak English as their first language when around others of the same ethnicitiy, have allegiance to Mexico, and live off the money, food and housing given to them by our liberal government in exchange for voting Democrat.
Their ethnic heritage and bond to Mexico will never be broken until they...gasp!...INTEGRATE into OUR society and not the other way around.
In other words, they have absolutely no intention in integrating into our society what-so-ever...and never will.
Look at the violence and the Mexican flag at these anti-Trump...anti-America riots and protests they engage in while trying to quell our first Amendment rights! Nuff said!

Listened to a bit of Levin on the radio tonight. He was railing about DT alienating all Mexicans which he said the Republicans will need in order to win the election. Never mentioned that the judge was associated with LaRaza or his affiliation with the Clintons. Levin missed a golden opportunity to inform his listeners about why Trump is so upset.
__________________________________________________
Having listened to Levin for years, I can not resist initially leaving him on at the beginning of his show to get a whiff of his opening monologue. For weeks now, I find myself pulling the plug almost immediately when his blatant anti-Trump bias and ridicule spews forth. Levin, a supposedly great lawyer, aught to know a lot about legal ethics. After all, it is certain he has been schooled on conflicts of interest since it is a course of study taught to every lawyer and judge. After all it forms the core of a code of professional ethics that all lawyers and judges must adhere to under penalty of disbarment. Yet, Levin has lost his way over his hatred for Trump and now it overshadows everything he says. A common citizen may be entitled to some slack for not understanding legal conflicts of interest rules, but there is unforgiving for an honest lawyer or judge to do so.
To: iontheball
Is it really Marks hatred of Trump or the fact that Trump is in many ways a running on Borders, Language and Culture and it might as well be the Savage Administration and given how Mark reviles Savage how much of this is just projection of his hatred of Savage. I will now give up playing armchair shrink ;-).
