Hillary Clinton holds a 3-point lead over Donald Trump in a new Florida poll that shows Hispanics are helping the Democrat and also that the newly named Libertarian presidential candidate might be hurting the Republican.
Clinton’s 45-42 percent lead over Trump in the Mason-Dixon Polling & Research survey resembles other recent Florida polls that showed a close race between the two. However, unlike other Florida surveys, Mason-Dixon polled Libertarian Gary Johnson for the first time in the state and found he comes in a distant third, with 6 percent.
In a state known for close top-of-the-ticket races, Johnson’s relatively small support could have big consequences.
“Clinton is gaining her edge in two key areas – some defections from Trump to Johnson among white Republican and independent voters and extremely strong support for her among Hispanics (68%),” Mason-Dixon pollster Brad Coker wrote in a memo for the poll of 625 likely voters. Its error margin is 4 points.

That’s no reason to tap FL Gov for Trump’s vp, as local 6abc (Hillary mouthpiece) was hinting this morning.
We have been getting hit with anti-Trump ads in Florida pretty consistently for the past 3 weeks. Trump hasn’t started on her in FL yet. He needs to hit her hard and let people know what a freak show Johnson is. Looks like he will do just fine in Florida.
Hispanics in Florida are mostly refugees from communist Cuba — they tend to vote Republican.
They don’t have any more sympathy for all the illegals coming over from Mexico, than any of the rest of us.
I think Trump has an excellent chance there.

Kristol and his One World buddies are gonna be pumping money into Johnson’s campaign since it looks like they couldn’t field their own candidate, and I don’t count that NR writer he supposedly recruited. This is a do or die election for the country.
This is were Rubio on the ticket would help Trump in Florida. Rubio still is a rock star in Dade County (Miami).
That used to be the case, but since the 90’s there’s been a HUGE influx of Mexicans, Hondurans, Guatemalans, Salvadorans, and everywhere in South America...............................
