Judge in Trump University case changes order to unseal docs

WASHINGTON -- The judge in a class action lawsuit against Trump University on Wednesday ordered some records that have been released to be yanked from public view.

U.S. District Judge Gonzalo P. Curiel late Tuesday ordered some released documents to be resealed and resubmitted with sections blacked-out. He said some records had "mistakenly" been released Friday, when he ordered some documents made public.

...How do you spell mistrial...

I understand the sentiment, but there is no mistrial because no trial is happening. But, there could be a motion for a new Judge based on bias. However, the Judge would have to hear and approve the Motion to recuse himself, and he’s not going to do that. That woukd delay the proceeding till after the election. See the problem?

Dude? Still using 60s lingo?

There is light years difference between what I said about disrespect and actions, and what you called “attitude”.

Learn it.

Got that right! TRUMP must have telepathy. Did he already know this, when he made a point about “thinking” the judge was “Mexican”? I think maybe he did. Makes him look like a clairvoyant or genius, otherwise.

“If he is being mistreated, make it about being treated unfairly, “

He did all that, watch the Trump rally where he spends a substantial amount of time addressing the details of the case and the judge essentially ignoring the law. Trump lays out the facts including the fact that the original complainant wanted out of the case once her own counterfactual written statements were produced.

Instead of issuing a summary judgement and dismissing the case because the complaining party had quit the judge recruited another party. The judge’s behavior is blatantly political and not about the case at all. He’s a corrupt latino activist and Trump is right in calling him out on his lack of ethics.

I was unaware of his La Raza connection until this thread....

As for his lack of ethics, which seems pretty clear, Trump should ask to have him removed...

Here's the difference between having a bad attitude as opposed to decades of carrying out disrespectful illegal crininal actions. Over a period of decades millions of Mexicans took action and broke our laws, rules and repeatedly defecated in your face. Those are actions. If millions of illegals simple had bad attitudes but didn't break our laws, ie, enter illegally by the millions, murder, rape, rob, deface, choke off our social services then it would be no big deal. It's their actions they take. No one gives a cheet about what attitude they might or might not have. No one cares about that.

Thanks for telling me something I already understand....

Like I said....you read way too much into the use of the word-attitude...

Sorry, I used the incorrect word and caused you consternation....

I now understand how important it is for you to right, I’d try not to misuse a word again in the future...

Trump doesn’t want that judge to get away. Trump seems to realize that he has an excellent chance to make an example out of this judge in court. Embarrass the crook and maybe wreck his career as a jurist. The judge picked the wrong guy to screw with.

This case was going on before Trump ever decided to run for President. Trump could have settled it long ago if there was any merit. He doesn’t believe that there is any- every student was asked to rate the course after they had completed it- whether they got fair value, did they learn, did they like it. Then original complainant had done so and given the course high marks with no complaints. When this was produced early on she withdrew from the case. Trump has overwhelming contemporary written evidence from the TU students that they were satisfied with the course. He is going to tamp those down the judge’s throat with a big stick.

-- ... why in the world why he bring up his ethnicity? --

The judge is a La Raza "activist," open borders sort. Trump is oppossed to that. The claim is that the judge has an axe to grind against Trump, based on Trump's statements about immigration abd building a wall, etc.

At least that is the reason Trump gave.
