Its wings beating against a gathering breeze, the eagle moves gracefully through a cloudy sky, then swoops, talons outstretched, on its prey below.
The target, however, is not another bird but a small drone, and when the eagle connects, there is a metallic clunk. With the device in its grasp, the bird of prey returns to the ground.

Coming next: anti-eagle countermeasures
Moreover, taking the drone is unimportant after its video is sent in realtime. Drones are disposable.

NOT a good idea. Here's why: when you fire shotgun pellets into the air, they're going to be coming down back to earth at very high velocity if you miss the drone. And at speeds that will blow out house and automobile windows rather easily.

This Dutch firm is going to get a lot of eagles killed. My graphite blades will take off its legs, no problem.

I doubt you’re using the drone in a situation that would require an eagle to take it down.

.. when you fire shotgun pellets into the air, they're going to be coming down back to earth at very high velocity if you miss the drone ..Don't know where that insight came from Ray but it's dead wrong. Spent shotgun pellets won't even break your skin. A lapse of concentration rabbit hunting at Lake Eucumbene many moons ago (as Senator Warren might say) proved that. Cheers, Byron

—you have it right -——while the ability of any shotgun load to bring down a drone is minimal, shotgun pellets do not descend at high velocity and are in general, the least dangerous of firearm projectiles beyond bird hunting range—

Definitely not, but I hate to see these beautiful birds get hurt.
