Sounds like the chickens from the war on coal and nuclear power are coming home to roost.
Thanks, you jag-offs, who elected ObaMao and his puppets like our own idiot U.S. Senator Bob Casey, Jr.

It’s the result of low natural gas prices. The war on coal/nuclear provides upwards pressure on price, but natgas is so cheap and plentiful nowadays that the effect of those low prices are dwarfing the anti-coal/nuclear efforts.

Seriously. That guy would be considered a step or two below average at the Special Olympics.

LOL! Can you believe there are actually people who wonder why he doesn't do Townhall Meetings or other non-scripted events for anybody but carefully screened crowds?
It is a good thing for him that the dense voters of Washington state keep re-electing Patricia Bin Murray or this guy would topple her as the dimmest bulb in the U.S. Senate.

Maybe it is because the power company raised prices by over 5 times.

It is a big factor for sure, but low natural gas prices would reverse direction almost overnight once exporting was allowed.
Not a popular thing to say, because voters in northern states love low natural gas prices. But most of us with an IQ over 100 knows that they won't last forever and that exported LNG is inevitable.

Maybe it is because the power company raised prices by over 5 times. I wonder why they did that.

Read the article. It’s about having too much cheap energy (natural gas) that it may cause some nuclear and coal fired plant to have to shut down temporarily because the electricity they generate can’t compete with the natural gas plants. Obviously there is more energy capacity than needed.
So it’s not about shutting down the grid but shutting down some of the plants supplying the grid because they are not needed.
In other words, it’s a good news for the consumer.

It is indeed. Unless you live in northeast Illinois where we have a serious shortfall due to green idiots demanding we shut down our nukes where from we derive 80% or so of our electricity.

Deflationary pressures of a 8 year old recession. They try to make it about natural gas pricing, but if you read closely, consumption is down, and the reserve margin is well over 20%.

Read the article.Perhaps YOU should read the article. It is about decreasing demand, not just increasing supplies from gas plants.
