I don’t know if I could have done it at 34 but I’ll bet I could have at 19...right out of BCT.I was in great shape, the best shape of my life. It’s the one thing for which I owe thanks to the US Army.
If meat eaters acted like vegans:

The Darwin Vegan award goes to Maria Strydom!
Well she proved she could die.

When I first read this I thought it said “Styrofoam’s brain!”
Wow, vegans CAN do anything! Even die on Mt.Everest!
Lettuce pray.
Mission accomplished. She proved vegans can die on Everest.
I half hoped it was my sister in law.
What a pathetic waste of Gods gift of life! And before anyone tries pointing out that she died doing what she loved to do, let me point out that she died because she was unable to breathe.
Well she did prove vegans can also die on Mt Everest.
I may find fault with her dietary choices - but she has more backbone than most of us when she attempted to climb that mountain.
Seriously, did anyone ever question whether a vegan could do high altitude climbing? As long as they can get sufficient nutrients and calories from their diet (which I’m sure they can), why would what they eat matter?
Well, she proved they can die.

“Her husband survived...’Mentally he is a mess.’”
I’d argue he was a mess simply because he allowed her to try that stunt. Hopefully she hadn’t earlier tried to prove that ‘Vegans Can Have Kids’.
