Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert McDonald on Monday compared the length of time veterans wait to receive health care at the VA to the length of time people wait for rides at Disneyland, and said his agency shouldn´t use wait times as a measure of success because Disney doesn´t either. "When you got to Disney, do they measure the number of hours you wait in line? Or what´s important? What´s important is, what´s your satisfaction with the experience?" McDonald said Monday during a Christian Science Monitor breakfast with reporters. "And what I would like to move to, eventually, is that kind

They might if they have to listen to the song for the whole time.
Just wait. At his next briefing, he’s going to say he needs $5 billion to implement an Express Pass program to lower wait times and improve customer service.
Excellent post!
Except that:
The Government Accountability Office released a report in April exploring the metric used to count a veterans' wait time, called the "preferred date." The measure does not count from the time a veteran first calls to make an appointment.
We are so lucky with the VA hospital here. My husband had an appointment in a few weeks and called the other day. They are seeing him tomorrow. He called 2 doctors’ offices this morning and he received calls back within an hour. We are really fortunate.
Or this?

How long does the VA Secretary and his staff
and family wait?
Should they not wait at least as long for medical
and emergency surgical care as ANY veteran?
Yes.
But they are EXEMPT.
EXEMPT from all Law.
all Reason.
all Accountability.
That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard come from a cabinet secretary, and there have been some really stupid ones over the years. Must have suffered a head injury when he was in the Army.
Lets see how long before Trump seizes on this ridiculous statement

He should seize on it. Trump could corner the veteran vote.
As a veteran myself, I am outraged by this callous and insensitive comment by the VA Director.
Yes, Disney constantly measures wait times.

They constantly poll their guests as to overall visit satisfaction, and work to correct problems when they are discovered.
15-love, your serve again.
The guy obviously never heard of a Fast Pass at Disneyland.
You get one that tells you a certain time to show up at the Ride and you walk right in.
Disney visitors get on the rides the same day they start waiting, don’t they?
That comment is completely designed to hurt morale... Trump should being this one up.
Hates Veterans...yep.
Incompetence coupled with arrogance is a deadly combination.
Because Disney has same-day service.
The V.A. Hospitals are not like a Disney resort and the veterans who need their services should’nt have to wait for anything.
These V.A. Administrators need to be fired if they can’t improve the performance of that disorganization.
When the song originally came out, the KGB considered using “Its a Small World After All” to interrogate spies and dissidents, they discarded the idea as inhumane.
Uh, because wait times at Disney parks don’t kill people?
Yes. Disney measures wait times, goes to great efforts to make waits endurable, and provides the means, under certain circumstances, to mitigate wait times (FastPass).
And people don’t die if they don’t get on the ride.
Mr. McDonald needs to be run through a woodchipper. Feet first.
