Not that I’m in favor of sex tourism, but from whence do they get the jurisdiction to criminalize actions occurring outside the boundaries of their, well, jurisdiction? (I’m pretty sure that’s why they call it that)
“Let’s see, the Federal Government tells us what/how/who we can and cannot 1) eat, 2) drink, 3) smoke, 4) watch on TV, 5) listen to on the radio, 6) do on our land, 7) drive, 8) build, 9) tear down, 10) buy, 11) sell, 13) own, 14) travel to, 15) travel from, 16) say, 17) borrow money, 18) lend money, 19) grow, 20) associate with, 21) where to live, 22) not to live, 24) who to live with, 25) cook, 26) clean with, 28) give money to, 29) accept money from, 28) invest in, 29) buy from, 30) sell to, 31) live, 32) die, 33) have sex with......I could go on.....But yeah, these people are nuts.”
I agree 100% —sex tourism is disgusting, but since WHEN does US law extend all over the planet..?
And:
It is seldom that the US will stick up for you overseas, but it’s interesting that when the possibility of BUSTING you comes up, well, they’re all over that.
Sometimes crazy 3rd World backwaters whine about “the US is thinking it has authority over the rest of the world..”
But in fact these types of new laws show that thinking is not so crazy.
Well, yeah, that's sort of what I was wondering. Unless he is bringing the victims to U.S. soil, what jurisdiction does our country have?
Because our fearless leaders signed an agreement for us to be subject to UN Laws.
I hope he suffers....
