Tweet Quotes Trump Endorsing Equal Pay for Women Who "Do As Good a Job" As Men

In a typically maverick move, GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump has hired Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton to manage his campaign ads. Trump’ hire of his leading opponent might seem quixotic—but since Clinton’s strongest voting bloc is unmarried women working outside the home—it looks like an obvious attempt by The Donald to snare some of that vote for himself. And sure enough, Clinton has already tweeted this brilliant pro-Trump pitch (preserved on a screenshot by Dilbert creator Scott Adams) that emphasizes Trump’s commitment to an important feminist issue: equal pay for equal work. The tweet says, ‘“You’re gonna make the same if you do as good a job’—Donald Trump on equal pay.” Below those words are no fewer than nine black-and-white photos of the Donald, subtly reminding the females who follow Clinton on Twitter which candidate they should pull the lever for in November. Below the photos are these words: “Trump says he ‘cherishes’ women—but his stances on equal pa…Time to start believing Trump’s rhetoric.”

It really is hard to believe that the Hillary people put this kind of anti Trump propaganda out. You would think Hillary is stumping for Trump. It seems that the harder they attack Trump the better Trump does. Isn't that what happened to Trump's 17 Republican opponents soon to be 18 opponents?

Companies are free to pay women whatever they want.

“Equal work, equal pay”, the feminist battle cry of the 70’s.

Now it’s bad because a man said it...

Companies are free to pay what the market will bear. Workers are free to choose whom to sell their labors and skills.

“...but since Clinton’s strongest voting bloc is unmarried women...”

As there were no pictures in the article, I’m guessing these are the ugly women previously mentioned?

Speaking of the '70's, I remember my first encounter with a women's libber.

When she was introduced to the sales staff she was introduced as "Ms.(hyphenated last name)"

I said, "Wow! You must be an ultra conservative! You have the last name of not just one man but the last names of two men."

She looked like someone shat in her Easter basket.

Can I ask a stupid question?

It’s already illegal to pay a woman less for the same job as a man.

It’s been against the law to pay women less, going all the way back to the Equal Pay Act of 1963.

Considering that, why do liberals such as Obama and Hillary keep bitching about women being paid less than a man?

Considering that the law is already in place, if women were systematically being paid less, then Obama and Loretta Lynch, and Hillary if she’s the next president, have all the legal tools at their disposal to fight this alleged discrimination.

What has Obama done about this problem in his presidency?

Heck, let’s ask Hillary what she and Bill did about this issue when they were president before, if this is such a major pressing issue in our economy????

I remember the when the whole “Ms.” thing was introduced. You have a few years on me, though. When it started gaining currency in the early ‘70s, my dear 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Skubby was replaced with “Miss Adams”, who was a bit of a women’s libber. We had a spelling bee in the class. I won, but she made me win by spelling, “Ms.”, acknowledging that it wasn’t standard.

Are women paid less because of illegal discrimination?

Or do women, as a group, earn less, because as a group, women are still found in lower paying jobs, or because they get off the career track for a time to deal with having children and taking care of family matters?

Is it possible that there are women who intentionally choose to be in lower paying jobs or careers, because those jobs have more flexibility to allow them to take care of their families??

But, it seems we are not allowed to ask such questions in this politically correct age. We are supposed to accept the mantra that “woman are paid less than men”, and that it’s due to the bigoted society we live in.

Equal Pay for Women Who “Do As Good a Job” As Men

this also implies the following possibilities, for both men and women...

Higher Pay for Women Who “Do a better Job” than Men
Higher Pay for Men Who “Do a better Job” than Women

There are some jobs where many men naturally do better than the women...and vice versa..

Hillary and her coven of dried up hags are living in the 70s. None of those old feminazis have a clue. They have no traction with the younger generations who see them largely as pathetic.

The Wall Street Journal had an article on this just a few days ago. It found that the difference in pay between men and women (aggregated) was greatest in fields requiring the most education and expertise. These occupations - medicine, law, banking - highly reward the total focus on the job that men are more like than women to devote to it.

At other economic levels, factors such as choice of occupation and years of experience explain a lot of the difference.

Hillary campaigning for Trump? This is so funny. Its like another Hillary ad they put out that used every negative Trump quote they could find and I thought it was a pro-Trump ad

Heck, if you can get away with paying women less than men, then why are companies not chocked full of women? It’s logical, after all, since personnel costs are huge and hiring only women that can do the same job means more profit. . .
