Donald Trump has devoted much of his campaign to railing against a corrupt system where politicians must answer to their donors and to promising his supporters that he will break that mold....
As more super PACs continue to emerge, ... The candidate won't definitively rule out super PAC funding, instead suggesting that he doesn't want it for himself, but for the Republican Party. "I do love self-funding," he told MSNBC's Morning Joe in April. "... I really won't be asking for money for myself, I'll be asking money for the party." Trump campaign manager, ... is still ruling out the big-money groups entirely. "We don't have Super PACs," he told NBC News.
The battle over funding aside, however, the groups have near-identical goals: To help Trump win in a handful of key battleground states to ensure he takes the 270 Electoral College votes needed to nab the White House.... Great America PAC will target seven or eight battleground states, including Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania. "We win those states," he said. Watts said CFAS is "holding their fire for now" but will look to set up strategic voter registration and get-out-the-vote programs as they see polling in to-be-determined....
A senior campaign source said that clarity will come over the course of the next week on a "number of subjects," including PACs. The source ... said Trump's silence on super PACs was intentional because he didn't want to further confuse his message. But the source insisted Trump hadn't strayed from his roots as an anti-big-money political outsider. "He's the same person today as when he announced," the source said, but added: "He's the nominee."
"There's responsibility that comes with that role. He still would like to self fund everything but he cant fund the party."

Trump has been saying this for months.
SuperPACs = Free Speech. Putting your money where your mouth is. Pure and Simple.
I believe Trump has a longer reach than just a few must have states
“Trump has been saying this for months.”
He sure has nothing new here. By the way for the doubters tell me when Trump has said anything different?
The billionaire’”. Why would the author need to insert that?
He has been competing against enormous SuperPacs for Bush & then Cruz.
Hillary’s PACs are already well-funded and attacking Trump.
They refer to him as ‘the billionaire’ when the topic is financial.
The rest of the time he is the ‘bombastic reality show host.’
Freedom of Speech.
If you have the means, why should you not be allowed? Should successful companies be prohibited from advertising because that is unfair to failing businesses?
If you don’t want to donate to a pack for him, go to his site: Donald J. Trump.com and donate there...it goes right to him and no one else...
The RNC is a pack that he will be urging people to put money in for the people who are up for re election...the only two I oppose is Mike Lee and Mia Love, both from Utah...
There is a group that is trying to get out into the public notice, it has been on twitter, if so many people pay $135.00, they could raise 1 billion dollars for Trump for the General Election so he won’t have to run on his money...but I haven’t been interested in it, so that is all the information I have on it...maybe someone else knows about it...
“Wealth privilege”
NBC...national Barack channel
The full article goes into much greater detail regarding the formation and funding of the PACs. It is an interesting read.
That’s the best way. Donald Trump.com . He will spend the money wisely and allocate the resources he actually needs to run the campaign.
People need to go to the NBC -source, there are some issues that need to be ironed out. They will likely be making a formal announcement on how PAC’s will be handled very soon.
I said that very thing throughout the primary, and Trump and his supporters criticized it.
Amazing.
I’ll have your heads for this <—priceless!
true but recently Sheldon Adelson pledged to The Donald
read Adelson’s letter published by Chicago Tribune
That’s a very well written endorsement by Adelson.
I encourage you to post his letter as its own thread.
And yes, Trump needs to fight fire with fire. Super PACs blow through millions in advertising.
thanks much & will do this right now!
