A Home Depot employee is causing quite a stir online after a photo of her in her trademark orange apron and a hat that read “America Was Never Great” went viral. “I was honestly shocked — I didn’t expect any of this to happen,” Staten Island resident Krystal Lake, a Bernie Sanders supporter, told the Staten Island Advance. A spokeswoman from Atlanta-based Home Depot said employees aren’t to wear items that reflect political statements, but Lakes says she “definitely” will wear her hat to work again. “I feel it offended a lot of people because a lot of (Donald) Trump supporters live in Staten Island,” she told the Staten Island Advance, noting her hat’s send up of Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan. “Trump is very rash and in your face, but when someone else has a message against him, his supporters can’t take the criticisms.”

Home Depot can fire her or a lot of people will fire Home Depot. Beyond that, she is just asking for someone to get in her face on the job.

Yep. Her hat really ticks me off. I wouldn't care if it said "#NeverTrump". That's political--but this is closer to seditious. I'd leave my cart at the counter full of stuff, walk off, and go down the street to Lowes.

Back when Ferguson was big in the news, I went to a Big Lots store near my home, and one of the black female employees was wearing a Black Lives Matter tee shirt instead of the Big Lots tee shirt which was the same color.
I emailed the home office in Ohio about the incident and within a day they called me and asked for more info. Soon the district manager called me, and eventually the store manager did as well. I never saw that woman in the store again......................
If I went through her line at checkout, I would have to tell her that is the stupidest hat I’ve ever seen...

Free speech is a wonderful thing and is one of the attributes of a great country.
Ironically, she is expressing her negative ideas in one of the few countries that would allow such expressions.
She is sadly ignorant of what makes anything great. Let alone the country she was born into.
If she wears the hat to work then fire her ass.
