Billionaire David Koch will bankroll Libertarian candidate and former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnsons third party presidential run with tens of millions of dollars, according to a report. The eight-figure sum may help Johnson win the Libertarian Party nomination and break into the mainstream.
Johnson also ran for president in 2012 as a third party candidate and won some 1.275 millon votes, 0.99 percent of the popular vote. Libertarian candidates may have cost the GOP several congressional race victories that year. (David Koch himself was the Libertarian Partys vice presidential nominee in 1980 when he and Ed Clark set the record for most votes for the party.)
Kochs pledge is significant: Charles and David Koch both promised not to use their war chest of hundreds of millions to stop now-presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump from securing the nomination in March, turning later that month to down-ballot races.

Look what 150m got !jeb and his ilk.
Mr Pouty face is going to hold his breath because he is important you know. What a joke
No he wouldn’t dismantle anything. Plus even though he denies it his immigration plan is open borders
actually that was Badfinger
Actually, McCartney wrote the song for Badfinger.
Aunt B, I know how you feel. I got beat up earlier this year when I said what I thought of them. At the time they were backing Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker. The Koch brothers are Slimeballs with a capital S. The only person that maters to the Koch brothers are the Koch brothers.
Basically, but he got .99% last time, so getting .01% more won't be much of a hurdle.
The LP's high water mark was 1.07% when Koch and Ed Clark ran against Reagan in 1980.
With Koch's money and the general discontent, they could do better this time.
For people who support such a tiny party that's a victory in itself.
But David Koch likes to throw his money, if it makes him feel better.
At this rate, he'll run out of money in 300 years or so.
And also, this article is relevant in regards to their pro-amnesty position. . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
If only half the things the left has said about the Kochs were true, it might be imaginable to call their operation right wing. But the reality is they merely fight for fewer regulations on the free market and lower taxes. In other words, theyre libertarians.
And like a lot of libertarians (and conservatives for that matter), they are naturally supportive of granting amnesty to illegal immigrants because they believe it will be good for business. As Dave Weigel of Slate has noted, the libertarian brothers have always put their money behind immigration reform.
While the primary impetus of the Kochtopus is to fight programs that they perceive as intrusive on the omnipotent free market (thus, explaining their heavy involvement in the quixotic quest to defund Obamacare), a significant part of their network is dedicated to promoting mass immigration to America and supporting measures that would grant permanent residency to immigrants who came to our country illegally.

Koch is not from “the Right.”
He is to the extent that a Republican is on the Right.
I wish i could think up a way to get some of their money. seems they just want to throw it away anyhow.
Do U want Hillary, David? Think long and hard.
David Koch will have our blood on his hands if Hillary wins!
This report is reportedly a hoax. At least Johnson denies it.
Bet Senator Reid loves Koch now! LOL!
It must be nice to have money to burn. He could give money to worthy charites, but no. Like Jeb, he wants to waste his money completely. Trump must have won a golf game against him, or failed to invite him to Mar-a-Lago for New Year’s Eve, or some other tiny slight, and now he’s pissed.
This story was debunked yesterday afternoon.
