The top ranks of the Republican Party may be coalescing around Donald Trump, but grass-roots conservative activists are still trying to find a way to stop him at the party's convention in July.
Angered by Trump's shifting views on taxes, the minimum wage, national security and how little he discusses social issues, conservatives across the country are studying the party rule book for last-ditch moves they could make when the convention begins in Cleveland.

Another way the committee could have an impact on the 2016 convention includes making changes to the rules that bind delegates to specific candidates. John Yob, a Michigan-based Republican strategist who wrote a book about contested conventions, told Politico in March 2016, “The Rules Committee that is elected by the convention delegates will ultimately clarify binding. There is a disagreement.”
Have the rules governing the 2016 GOP Convention been established? No. But there is a process in place for how those rules are established and who will make those decisions.

There are no conservatives plotting to stop Donald Trump at the GOP convention; there are probably plenty of members of the JV team of the Uniparty plotting and scheming, though.
The ‘true conservatives’ would gladly scuttle this election for sake of maintaining their sense of control over the party. This has always been about power, not ‘principles’.

Did you take at the list of delegates? This whole idea appears to be orchestrated by Curly and that is not his job to be doing this. He is supposed to be non-committed. How they ended up with gross representation for Cruz from the prairie states is very suspicious.
He is plotting to overthrow the nominee and he will get CWII in Cleveland.
This is just bunk. It is over. Quite frankly many of Cruz’s delegates won’t even be going to the convention now that they know he cannot win. Not a big deal, just the way it works. No sense on attending a meeting where you are assured your guy will not be victorious. These delegates will be replaced with Trump supporters as it should be.
I will tell you what, we the people are watching. Some political careers are on the line if any shenanigans take place at the convention.
