The top ranks of the Republican Party may be coalescing around Donald Trump, but grass-roots conservative activists are still trying to find a way to stop him at the party's convention in July.
Angered by Trump's shifting views on taxes, the minimum wage, national security and how little he discusses social issues, conservatives across the country are studying the party rule book for last-ditch moves they could make when the convention begins in Cleveland.

Neither do I. I just like Trump as our future leader.
Quite unlike that lying POS crLuzer. :)
I don’t care if you think I’m an itellectual or not. I don’t care what you think of me at all. If there is some point I have made regarding the article then explain where you think I am wrong and we can discuss.
I welcome your input on the article if you have some further information that is worth consideration.
He’s a politician, of course he lies, just like every other one of them running for office. That is neither here nor there as far as this article goes.
The OP tried to divert the conversation away from the article to all the nonsense about Cruz not throwing support to Trump yet. It has nothing to do with the article.
I think you have already received the appropriate input. Butthurt is a powerful emotion.
I know its hard to let go but DJ Trump is the GOP nominee for President tonight and he’s still going to be the nominee tomorrow and on June 7th and November 8th. No amount of head shaking, naysaying or other acrimony will change that hard fact.
Try to get with the program and get behind our rightfully elected nominee as he’s more than likely the next President of the United States.
And Cruz is a sore loser. And butthurt.
It’s called a play on words.
The fact is Trump is 75 delegates (or less depending on the site checked) from reaching 1237. Outside of some unspeakable incident occurring, Trump is the party nominee. Playing this, he is the presumed nominee so I’m not throwing my support behind him, is a bunch of crap at this point.
Exactly the kind of response I expected from you. You don’t disappoint.
There will always be traitors among us and free speech is the gem that has them constantly self identifying.
I don’t know why it matters what his reasons for not doing it are. You seem to think I am making excuses for him, and I am not. I am simply pointing out that technically he has not broken his pledge. I see no reason not to give him the benefit of the doubt. If he doesn’t support Trump at and after the convention then I would consider Cruz as not having fulfilled his pledge.
I’m wondering if Trump is going to have to club down Cruz like a rabid baby Harp seal on the national convention floor for some of these people to get it?
Oh, a play on words is meant to be clever.
“Outside of some unspeakable incident occurring, Trump is the party nominee.”
I’m glad to see that you understand that there is a chance, no matter how small, that Trump won’t be the nominee. That’s exactly what I was trying to point out.
I think you've just invented "MustSee TV." ;)
These are the same people who were talking #NeverTrump a month ago. Then they were called the elite. Now they're being called the grassroots.
Neither label quite fits, but Erick Erickson isn't exactly your next door neighbor.
First of all, Trump supporters don’t worship Trump. However, you seem to be hell bent on supporting your failed candidate until his political career is completely obliterated. That is worshipping. He lost. He failed to secure the nomination, and by playing his stupid shadow campaign he is doing nothing but alienating himself from the electorate further and burning his political career to the ground.
And the fact that you are hoping for that chance, just shows how pathetic you are.
When did I ever say I was hoping for that to happen? I have consistently said I would vote for Trump in the general.
The media tries to portray Trump as not being a conservative. His positions are more conservative than BushIorII, Romney or McCain.
I’m a little disappointed in your inability to get behind our nominee.
I have consistently said I would vote for Trump in the general. But, if something is said that is incorrect or misleading I am interested in correcting it; I have done that for both Trump and Cruz.
