Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) told Breitbart News he will honor his pledge to support the presumptive 2016 GOP presidential nominee, Donald Trump, in the general election against former Secretary of State Hillary Clintonthe likely Democratic nomineein November. Paul, along with every other 2016 GOP presidential candidate, signed a pledge that they would back the nominee in the general election.
I took a pledge when I ran for president to not run as an independent candidate and to support the Republican nominee, Paul said. I stand by that pledge, and I think that anybody who signs their word to a document ought to take it seriously before they sign a document. So I dont think theres any question that those who signed the document ought to say, you know what? I honor the pledge.
Several others, like Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Dr. Ben Carson and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, have followed through on their pledges to support Trump as the nominee. Others, like former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), have yet to do so. Now that Trump has won and he has lost, Bush has said he does not intend to back Trump over Clinton.

“I didnt support Rand Paul as a candidate, but I will give him him props as a stand up man of his word on this.”
Me too. I’m pleasantly surprised.
Thank you for the reminder. Bush got out so early, I forgot about him.
And he has beautiful eyes.
Seems to me like she was put out to pasture.
The miserable failure - Lyin’ Ted does not surprise me. This loon refuses to give up his fantasy and until or unless he gets professional help, he never will.
Texas deserves far better than this charlatan and they need to dump him ASAP.
Read my lips......
I don’t agree he’d be a good choice.
Also, he’s up for reelection and was just renominated.
I think he would be a good choice also.
> Wonder how many Bernie supporters are ex Paul-bots...?
The number is very close to zero. Paul supporters either went to Trump or are going LP or are sitting out.
This is not to say there aren’t a few supporting Sanders in the primary for tactical reasons. If one cares about liberty and is well-informed (usually goes hand-in-hand) then stopping the CFR candidates became the priority once Paul dropped out.
I have thought so too, I like his libertarian leanings and his curly hair.;-)
I have often said the same thing and thought his debate numbers should have been one top three or four.
Rand Paul ain't no dummy, and I don't recall his positions being very different from Trump's, nor have the two engaged in a pissing contest.
Based on current knowledge, I don't see an issue with a Trump / Paul ticket.
When he jumped in during the debates, he was no slouch and his remarks were measured and reasoned.
Speaking of The Liar, where are the Cruz supporters here?
Daddy said, “No New Taxes”....
You’re right. Apple - not far from tree.
...and she’s gone!
There are still a few. They are being carful for the most part and I have spotted a couple of obvious retreads.
Fortunately, it’s not like it was and more seem to have gotten on the Trump train, if for no other reason they have come to realize that it’s either Trump or the end of this once great country.
~~Vote Trump 2016~~ ~~Vote Trump 2016~~ ~~Vote Trump 2016~~
Compare the pathetic turnout of 2016 to 2008.
No Energy, no passion. Obama with 30% basically tied Hillary and Bernie
