I am afraid that grim reality requires choosing the second of David Pryce-Joness two ways of looking at Londons election of Sadiq Khan as mayor: By choosing an enabler of Muslim extremism, the British are losing control of their destiny.
In the run-up to the mayoral election, the invaluable Daniel Johnson, editor of Standpoint, provided the essential backdrop:
Indeed, what has emerged before our eyes in Britain is a kind of Islamist state within a state
. A new survey by ICM with the former head of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, Trevor Phillips, for Channel Four and the Sunday Times confirms that Salafists are fast becoming the dominant influence on British Islam. Nearly a quarter (23 per cent) of a sample of 1,081 adult Muslims want to see areas of Britain in which sharia law is introduced instead of British law. Nearly a third (31 per cent) of them think it is acceptable for a British Muslim to keep more than one wife, even though polygamy is in theory punishable by up to five years imprisonment. Wives should always obey their husbands, according to 39 per cent; the survey did not ask about the Korans injunction to husbands to chastise their wives, but Trevor Phillips sees it as a clear invitation to legitimise domestic violence. About 5 per cent of British Muslims sympathise with stoning adulterers. That may seem a small percentage, but only 66 per cent completely condemn such executions. This suggests that about a third would go along with such punishments under certain circumstances.

The new Muslim Mayor of London praises jihadists. The Muslims appear to be evolving into the new ruling class.
How many more Lee Rigbys will there be now in London?
It is going to be “interesting” to see the U.S. response when London becomes an ISIS training camp.

oops! tried to post a pic...
By choosing an enabler of Muslim extremism, the British are losing control of their destiny.
Boy we have a low standard for gauging the barbarity of Islam. "5% think it's okay to kill adulterers by hitting them with rocks until the die? Oh, well that's not so bad a percentage, is it?"
The Muslim block vote is such a formidable electoral force that for Islamists to dominate a city it does not need to have a Muslim majority.
Sadiq Khan once said that moderate muslims were “Uncle Toms.”
“The Five” panelists on Fox News were just saying last week or so that Khan is a moderate that we need to embrace. I knew it was not true for a few reasons, among them his militant demeanor when discussing Trump. They used as an excuse his acceptance of gays. By that token, Obama is anti-muslim extremist, which we all know is false.
How many, indeed?
Britain needs a second Enoch Powell. Someone who can clearly see what’s happening and who isn’t afraid to announce it, denounce it and stand up for his country. I don’t expect to see one anytime soon though.
Exactly. It’s an alarm bell we should all recognize. London will soon be declared an Islamic capitol. Their demands will accelerate and the British will have no means of combating it.
The next decade is going to be ugly. That said, I think the pendulum is finally starting to reach it’s pivot...
His name is Nigel Farage.
Britain has no First Amendment. Such a person would be arrested for hate speech (under the Public Order Act of 1986) before he finishes his first sentence.
At some point anywhere Muslims get a significant enough number a percentage will always exist who will rule the day. This mayor is either a witting enabler as his past words have betrayed him or he is willfully blind.
The left, the cultural nihilists, these have set the agenda. Judgment from the rot within. Like ancient Israel allowing foreign gods and cultural assimilation to destroy her from within.
Tony Blair put the final nail in the coffin on the once great British empire.
