Drugs used in executions are no longer available through “the normal pharmaceutical market,” said Robert Dunham, executive director of the Death Penalty Information Center. Every U.S. drug maker with products that have been used in executions has gone on record to say they don’t want that to happen any more, he said.

“States at this point have decisions to make,” Dunham said. …

Now we will just have to rely upon a homemade injected cocktail of:
heroin, vodka, gasoline, drain cleaner, degreaser, motor oil, oven cleaner, rat poison, trisodium phosphate, and natural spring water.

Liberals seem to be able to co-opt any industry they want to at will.

If executions were carried out by hanging, they would get control of the rope manufacturers.

I thought you'd gone overboard until I read that you would including "natural spring water"

That touch made me feel humane. Should please the "greenies" also to see that.

Any side bets on whether they make the exact same drugs available for assisted suicides?

Time to hang the bastards...starting with these ‘pharmaceutical giants’.

And then, just inject some KI into the veins of the about to be executed, dead in seconds. Or hire a vet who does this daily for sick pets...

Still have the gas chamber, the chair, or making them listen to Democrat speeches. The last one may be considered cruel and unusual punishment.

A cup of air injected into a large vein will do the job. Available locally, ecologically responsible and cheap!

Exactly. There is no need for the death row prisoner to feel parched.

Fine, go “green”. Use a rope, it’s recyclable and biodegradable.

A number of lawsuits have been filed alleging lethal injections using these drugs caused undue suffering.

In 2014, numerous executions, all employing midazolam, were widely considered botched. In Ohio, Dennis McGuire gasped and convulsed for 10 minutes before dying. In Arizona, Joseph Wood snorted and gulped for air as he died over a period of two hours. And in Oklahoma, Clayton Lockett writhed for 43 minutes before succumbing to a heart attack.

Why are we using drugs to execute criminals? They are expensive and unreliable due to their very nature. Drugs can have different effects on different people.

Hanging also had mishaps when the drop failed to snap the criminals neck and he slowly strangle or a few were even decapitated.

Old sparky also had failures when the criminal had to be shocked numerous times or was set fire in front of spectators. Grizzly!

On the other hand we know with a certainty that a given gas at a given concentration will be 100% effective at ending life.

Any number of industrial gases available to anyone are capable of ending a condemned criminal’s life reliably and painlessly.

Cheap industrial gases such as carbon monoxide or nitrous oxide have been proven over many decades to have ended people’s lives painlessly in accidents or suicide. Why not put this experience to good use and end this madness of using expensive unreliable drugs which too often fail to do what is intended.

Better yet, use rope made from Hemp, that would really make the greenies happy.

No problem. Bring back the gas chamber and use nitrogen. Painless, odorless, fast.

If these corporate libtards actually cared about saving lives ... not just a few lives, but hundreds of thousands of lives ... they would quit flogging their products to homosexuals!
