The voice is instantly familiar; the tone, confident, even cocky; the cadence, distinctly Trumpian. The man on the phone vigorously defending Donald Trump says hes a media spokesman named John Miller, but then he says, Im sort of new here, and Im somebody that he knows and I think somebody that he trusts and likes and even Im going to do this a little, part-time, and then, yeah, go on with my life.
A recording obtained by The Washington Post captures what New York reporters and editors who covered Trumps early career experienced in the 1970s, 80s and 90s: calls from Trumps Manhattan office that resulted in conversations with John Miller or John Barron public-relations men who sound precisely like Trump himself who indeed are Trump, masquerading as an unusually helpful and boastful advocate for himself, according to the journalists and several of Trumps top aides.
One has to be somewhat suspicious as to the complete lameness of the attacks on Trump to date.
Are they holding stuff in reserve?
I wouldn’t think so, but no way to know.
I wish I could write Trump ads. I could obliterate HRC. I’d work cheap, too.
My guess is Trump has been the most vetted candidate ever vetted during the primary. Hence he’s going into the Presidential election with very little baggage other than his “tone” which doesn’t seem to be a problem.
The assault though from the progressive compliant media will be of historic proportions.
Write some ads.
Send them in.
I’ll give you the proper address.
If his campaign likes your ads, you will be paid.
Trump: “Wow, if this is the best the Washington Post can come up with, I don’t think I have much to worry about.
See, this is as good their reporting has been on 0bama and Hillary Clinton. With those two, there was loads of good stuff to dig up and they completely failed at finding any of it. What a pathetic newspaper. Maybe they should call up Carlos Slim and Vicente Fox and those two might pay a good price for it”.
speculation represented as news fact
This is trending on Twitter. Supposedly he admitted that one of his “spokesmen” was him or a joke gone awry in the early 90s. If it is him, he would have been better to just admit it than deny it. If he did it, people would range from not caring to thinking it’s a hilarious troll job. I would think it’s funny.
Ok, yes, sure.

OH MY this is JUST SO AWFUL!!!!.........NOT!!!! Journalists today are just useless!!!! They wouldn’t know how to investigate their way out of a WET PAPER BAG!!! GIVE ME A BREAK!!!! This IS what our universities are producing, under these circumstances we should be VERY GRATEFUL !!!
Of course, when Trump gets to talking, Trump gets to lying. The John Miller thing itself was a lie, as Trump later conceded. People magazine wrote, The John Miller fiasco he called a joke gone awry. He also conceded in court testimony, I believe on occasion I used that name, reported Fisher and Hobson.
Michael Smerconish wants to interview Miller and Benson, the two names Trump used.
That’s a riot.
Whoops! I think the second name is Barron, not Benson.
Sure pales leaving classified national secrets on an advised against open private server that the russians, Chinese and probably isis have copied and studies.
That’s a great term for them. They want America to die so they can nibble on, defecate in, and reproduce in the carcas. Describes Democrats to a “T”.
And, after 7 years of obama trumpeting himself while not even masquerading as a spokesman, we’re somehow supposed to disapprove of Trump. At least in Trump’s case, much of what he says about his accomplishments is true. And he doesn’t have to force any flunkies to write lies and post them on teleprompters, proving that the current occupant of the White House can’t even identify any of his so-called accomplishments without the help of paid liars.
America will not be shocked to learn that Trump has always been his own biggest booster. A lot of people like that aspect of his personality. .
