Agree. This seems to be a nice way for Ryan and the non-neverTrumpers in the GOP to move to support Trump in a “face saving” manner.
Priebus probably talked to them beforehand and laid out how much $$$ Trump is probably going to be able to deliver to the RNC.

I hope Donald Trump never ever trusts that he will be treated fairly by any of them, no matter what anyone says.

I thought the acknowledgement that Trump has brought millions of new voters into the Republican Party is significant. Trump controls those voters, and Ryan knows it.
