Upstate NY is another world from NYC.

They are the people that should be seen (occasionally as service providers) and not heard.

Not so. Upstate New York is American in every way. Been there, in small towns. Just like home.

New York is one of many mostly conservative states that are dominated by the liberalism of one large city.

Cuomo is a jerk; Ted Kennedy mated with Mario Cuomo and this is the result.
